So we would not have the capability to simply find them and kill them, either with a remotely-piloted aircraft or with an assault on the ground.”>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Not true. A simple finding by our so called “president” ( who in all reality is a traitor to America) at the CIA would have the perpetrating ring leaders tracked down and terminated.

What is it? The United States can’t multitask?

I’m with you, we need to make individual terrorists pay the price themselves, along with their backers, even if they wake up every morning in the White HOuse.

This is a formal and largely unilateral decision by the Obama WH on how to interpret the AUMF.

the U.S. government’s narrow definition of terrorists covered by the authorization

Obama and his administration, including Hillary who could have resigned in protest, but didn't, don't want to bring these guys to justice. They didn't want to protect against this attack.

Why? What was going on at Benghazi that made the attack and assassination of an American ambassador worthwhile?

I pick:

C. Both.

We need to hold the Senate to form the committees to pursue Obama through his next two years. It counts against Hillary as well. Drip it out over time.

The sad story is that, if Hetty’s right, there are GOP forces that won’t want the whole truth out ever.

Well, yes. You’re right. But I’ve become sort of numb about terrorists now. They seem like rabid animals to me now: impossible to reason with or tame, so you just put them down as quickly as possible.

However, I’d LOVE it if they could capture and waterboard some of the actual physical perpetrators . . . and find out what, if any, connection there was with any U.S. citizens in this whole debacle. Find out if there really was gun-running etc. Find out just how far to the top this whole ugly story travels. I bet it would go pretty far.

The torture, abuse, and murder of a POW named Momar Gaddafi was a war crime yet Hillary Clinton and Lanny Davis are cheering that US sponsored activity "WE came, WE saw, HE DIED!!!" - Sec. of Hate Hillary Clinton.

When Dempsey uses “we” he means “I”, “myself” or “my contemporaries”. Not the POTUS.

He did good by Obama, he can keep his job a little longer and what’s more important than that?!?! There might be a book deal in this yet for him, but not likely.

Otherwise, when did congress approve drone strikes in Yemen or Pakistan...?

This is just another false obstacle the White House has erected to help the killers fade back into obscurity. I believe the Benghazi attack was about destroying or disrupting the U.S. sponsored gun running project supporting the Syrian rebels. I think Syria, Iran or possibly Russia contracted local jihadists to attack the U.S. facilities and personnel in Benghazi employed in the project. The last thing Obama wants is to bring any of these guys to trial.

This article is very critical of Barry’s AUMF interpretation so I am surprised to see it in Time Mag.

Thanks for posting!
