New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio to Boycott St. Patrick’s Day Parade
FrontPage Mag ^ | 02/05/2014 | Daniel Greenfield

After boycotting snow removal, William Wilhelm Jr. aka Bill de Blasio will be boycotting the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Bill de Blasio doesn’t seem like a fan of parades in general. Before the election he showed up at the Columbus Day Parade and claimed that he wasn’t doing it to support Columbus.

Wilhelm Jr. isn’t a fan of St. Patrick either because the parade doesn’t allow gay rights signs. That will make Bill de Blasio the first mayor since Dinkins to pull this stunt.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says he won’t be marching in the nation’s largest St. Patrick’s Day parade this year in protest for gay rights.

The Democrat said he won’t march along Fifth Avenue because of organizers’ refusal to allow gay-pride signs in the parade, the Associated Press reported.

Organizers said gay-rights activists are allowed to march but cannot carry signs because it could take away from the parade’s focus on honoring Irish tradition.

Organizers predict more than 1 million people will attend on March 17.

And how many of them voted for Bill de Blasio? But you can sympathize with Bill’s position. His wife is a lesbian after all.

The Sandinista mayor’s position though isn’t radical enough for the even more radical left.

LGBT leaders and other officials, including Public Advocate Tish James, wrote an open letter to the mayor yesterday in the Gay City News calling on him to “Ban Uniformed City Personnel in Discriminatory St. Pat’s Parade.” The police commissioner and uniformed police, firefighters and other city personnel typically march in the parade down Fifth Avenue every year.

“The presence of uniformed police and firefighters in such a procession sends a clear signal to LGBTQ New Yorkers that these personnel, who are charged with serving and protecting all New Yorkers, do not respect the lives or safety of LGBT people,” they wrote. “We are asking you to direct all City departments not to organize marchers for or allow personnel to participate in this anti-LGBTQ procession either in uniform or with any banner that identifies them with the City.”

And then maybe compel the NYPD’s Irish cops to march in the Gay Pride Parade instead.

The St. Patrick’s Day parade predated New York City. It will be around long after Bill de Blasio is sleeping in one of those specialized nursing homes for old leftists.

Indeed. st Patrick is St Patrick, gay is gay. It is like muslim pretending they are inclusive of Christians... it is more like kidnapping.

Campaign donations... politicians are worst of whores.

Savannah Ga has the second Irish population after Boston. I urge conservatice Irish from NYC and Boston to move down there.

That would necessarily have to be true if homosexuality is in the genes as all queers claim. Don’t they always say “you are born that way”? Not so guys, you choose this disgusting anti-natural life-style and you can take it all the way to hell.

Let New Yorkers rot in the bed they made. They deserve to be the next Detroit.

“William Wilhelm Jr. aka Bill de Blasio”

I have it on good authority that he is going to change his name again to Bill de Stalin.

“...de Blasio has taken part in every single Islamic event in the city since he began his career ...”

One wonders if this assclown was in the streets cheering when 9-11 happened.

You know, just when you think people can’t be any more stupid or f***ed up, NYC elects this worthless subversive.

These really are “the times that try men’s souls...”, like Thomas Paine said...

No kidding!

The question is, just how much more of their Bravo Sierra are we willing to tolerate? When will they nail that tripwire?

You know, that Thomas Paine quote popping into my head made me go back and read “The American Crisis” again. This paragraph jumped out at me immediately:

“..I have as little superstition in me as any man living, but my secret opinion has ever been, and still is, that God Almighty will not give up a people to military destruction, or leave them unsupportedly to perish, who have so earnestly and so repeatedly sought to avoid the calamities of war, by every decent method which wisdom could invent. Neither have I so much of the infidel in me, as to suppose that He has relinquished the government of the world, and given us up to the care of devils; and as I do not, I cannot see on what grounds the king of Britain can look up to heaven for help against us: a common murderer, a highwayman, or a house-breaker, has as good a pretence as he. ...

http://www.let.rug.nl/usa/documents/1776-1785/thomas-paine-american-crisis/chapter-i-—the-american-crisis-—december-23-1776.php

We come from an amazing and incredible group of people.

We, as Americans ought NEVER forget that, and the sacrifices of those people who came before us...

It wasn’t GIVEN to us; it was EARNED by those folks, who stood up in spite of horrific odds, and said:

“No.”

What Greatness our Founders had and embraced!

It’s a very sad fact that not one of individuals that currently occupy positions of power in our government would be worthy enough to polish the shoes of our Founders.

The fault for that lies with us.

:...not one of individuals that currently occupy positions of power in our government would be worthy enough to polish the shoes of our Founders....The fault for that lies with us.”

Well, faulting our own naivete for believing that all parties would abide by the rules of our system, yes. Also, the blame lies with not believing the leftards when they told us over and over again what they were going to do TO us once they got power. They meant it.

Here’s another para that stands out to me:

“...Once more we are again collected and collecting; our new army at both ends of the continent is recruiting fast, and we shall be able to open the next campaign with sixty thousand men, well armed and clothed.
This is our situation, and who will may know it. By perseverance and fortitude we have the prospect of a glorious issue; by cowardice and submission, the sad choice of a variety of evils- a ravaged country- a depopulated city- habitations without safety, and slavery without hope- our homes turned into barracks and bawdy-houses for Hessians, and a future race to provide for, whose fathers we shall doubt of...”

He may as well have been writing about us, right now, less the Hessian mercenaries.

NYC mayor Bill de Blasio has prominently featured his wife Chirlane McCray in his campaign literature and on his web site. Despite Ms. McCray’s front-and-center role in his campaign, for which she also serves as an unpaid advisor, one aspect of her life has thus far remained out of the public eye.

Prior to meeting Mr. de Blasio, Ms. McCray identified as a lesbian and had several long-term relationships with other women.

Sure, the city is full of idiots and leaches, but I hate to see this happening to all the good people who live there.

And LOT lived WHERE?

Genesis 18:22-25

The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the Lord.

23 Then Abraham approached him and said: “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? 24 What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it? 25 Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?”
