The Central Coast is in much need of rain, and one group is asking for it in a unique way. The Central Coast Center for Spiritual Living hosted a rain dance in Templeton Park on Saturday. A Native American reverend led the dance. Rain dances have been performed by American Indians for hundreds of years, to evoke water during dry seasons. The Center for Spiritual Living says it believes the power of many minds focused on the same goal will produce results. They also held a meditation session after the dance, and prayed for rain.

Maybe they should be turning to the west instead.
All that water in the Pacific Ocean they have out there and they can’t figure out how to use it.

Timing has a lot to do with the success of a ‘rain dance’.
What ever happened to cloud seeding and con trails? This reactionary pseudo-religious behavior cannot be tolerated!!!!
Maybe they should reduce consumption. Hey, here’s an idea. Stop being a sanctuary state. Send all them messycans back to that hole they came from. Then maybe kalifornia wouldn’t be such a hole.

Yeh — just think about all the water that is consumed by the interlopers crossing into California.
The least they can do is require the interlopers to bring their own water with them.
.... Oh .... and add that to the fact that in the mid 90's the enlightened ones in California decided to divert a huge portion of water away from cities and farm lands to save some minnows in the Delta thus creating a predictable disaster in the cities and farming communities. Since then there has been near dust bowl conditions in much of the farming areas of Central CA .... but the enlightened ones will insist that this disaster is a result of Global Warming and not their disdain of the Technology that created the ability to farm the desert lands in the first place.
.... The enlightened ones live in denial ... and the solution to the drought problems is actually obvious to the ones that they consider to be vapid idiots ... but who in fact are the true enlightened ones ... the ones with the solutions.
Ah, that phrase brought back memories of the early days of VCRs, when my buddy and I would haul our two massive Video machines together and make copies of tapes. Since the process seemed beyond comprehension to most people (it required three RCA cables), we just told them we used a magic chicken bone ;-)
But, by CA standards, doing the rain dance is fairly sane. I hear it works better if they dance naked and stream live video, however...

I don't know what group puts them up.
