I don’t like events that need to be judged to get a score. Speed skating yes, ice dancing no.

I think t was France that got into big trouble “making up” scores....and they got caught. Revenge!!

I lost interest in figure skating after Peggy Fleming retired from competition.....and the men became homos.

This was reported by the French?

In 2002, the Canadian pair of skaters clearly won. French judge, Marie-Reine Le Gougne was pressured by the head of the French skating organization, Didier Gailhaguet, to vote for the Russian skating pair regardless of how the others performed. She admitted this to one of the official of the International Skating Committee.

The event referee filing a formal complaint about the judging. The IOC gave two pairs of gold medals - one to the Russian pair and one to the Canadian pair.

There's a history of corruption in Olympic judging in skating that makes the Canadians sensitive to these allegations.

So in order to make the French happy, I guess the Americans and the Russians won’t be allowed to win now, even if they deserve to.
