As if NBC announcers aren’t homers.

to be fair, it's a Russian tv station broadcasting to a Russia audience and not for international consumption, so they nave no need to sound impartial and are simply cheering the home team...

something you won't see in the American L$M

Gymnastics is not an event at the Winter Olympics. This CNBC report is talking about what Russian announcers say to their own audience during all Olympic broadcasts. I wonder if CNBC has ever done a piece on what their sister network, MSNBC announcers say to their own audience?

Sorry, but any sport that relies on judgment is not a sport. Boxing should be the last man standing to be a sport to me. I guess figure skating or gymnastics will never be a sport in my book unless..........................

The commentator IS Russian...former Russian gymnast Lidiya Gavrilovna Ivanova.

So why is this a surprise? Why is this news?

Here's the Russian Interior Ministry Police Dept Choir singing "Get Lucky" at the Olympics Opening Ceremony.

This really happened. It's one of the funniest things ever!

NBC Edits Out IOC Anti-Discrimination Statement From Opening Ceremony

http://deadspin.com/nbc-edits-out-ioc-anti-discrimination-statement-from-op-1518727938

Russia’s anti-gay laws have been a major focus in the lead-up to the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, and during his address at today’s opening ceremony IOC president Thomas Bach made a strong statement against “any form of discrimination” and in favor of tolerance. Viewers worldwide heard the statement; NBC viewers in the U.S. did not, because the network edited it out.

The video above is how it aired on NBC tonight. You’ll notice a very awkward edit. Below is how it appeared everywhere else on Earth to viewers watching live:

Is it weird that I first thought they were talking about the NBC announcers cheering the Russians?

Yes, well, Bob Costas openly asked whether Russia deserved to get the Olympics...so looks like both sides have screwed up.

I don’t like American announcers bad mouthing the hosts or the athletes of foreign countries, and I don’t like it when foreign announcers do it to Americans.

Hey, wasn’t Team Obama supposed to make things better?

Anyone remember when Hussein and his wife were going to get the Olympics to go to Chicago??? One of the greatest moments in ObamaCult history was when the CNN sycophant was obviously distressed when the FIRST CITY REJECTED was Obama’s Chicago....oh, how I loved that....HERE is the video for those of you who didn’t see it:

For three-quarters of a century (1917-92), the American Left and its media mouthpieces acted as allies and apologists for the Russians because they were Communists and fellow travelers. Now, the Left demonizes the Russians because they don’t kowtow to the so-called gays. What a bizarre reversal.

After Komova made mistakes in her routine, Ivanova remarked with: "She made a few mistakes, but we did not notice them."

The Russian version of the American press dealing with Obama... of course, without the charm...

It seems like MSM are tasked to bash these Olympics so badly.
How is this crap could ever make into news?
Has TV announcer to be impartial? Is she a judge or jury or what?
AFAIK, it is called patriotism. American MSM could do the same too.
