On behalf of all us Texans, we accept kudos for foisting Ted onto DC.

Still makes us mad thinking about the wasted years when Kay Bailey occupied that Senate seat.

We all thought Cornyn was conservative until Cruz showed us what a true conservative really acted like. Now we wish to ditch him too.

Now if the other states would follow suit....

Cruz in recent weeks has undermined Boehner’s approach on both immigration and the debt limit

Thank you Mr Cruz for standing for the American people!

“What is the “Winning Strategy”, in your opinion?”

Do what is necessary to hold the house, win the senate, and elect a republican president even if those things mean voting for some ‘liberal’ republicans. Then, and only then, can you unwind Obamacare and reduce spending.

Bullshit. Last time the republicans had both houses, they spent like drunken sailors.

No-one is buying what you are selling. Because it's a lie.

Nonsense. The Repub House could (have) halted ObeyMeCare (and more) anytime by voting not to fund. Yet another tired and pathetic canard: “We ONLY have the House... We ONLY have one branch.... We ONLY have the presidency...” It’s always someting juuuuust outta reach that keeps them from being conservative, isn’t it?

Have you really been here since ‘99? Hmmm.

“It’s called leadership, something that is completely foreign to Boehner and his cronies.”

Boehner believes he is leading effectively. After all, when you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there.

Rep. Mike Simpson, R-Idaho, said it’s ironic Cruz is giving advice to House Republicans now, given his ill-fated push to defund the Affordable Care Act.

It might not have been so ill-fated, if Republicans like Simpson hadn't trash talked the conservatives in Congress, joining the already willing media.

Cruz should mind his own business at least until he comes up with a winning strategy. Refusing to raise the debt limit isn’t one.

Refusing to raise the debt ceiling is exactly the right thing to do when our government is borrowing .40 cents of every dollar in federal spending.

Read the article again. Our national debt has increased $6 Trillion dollars under this President. That's an unsustainable, suicidal level of government over-spending. It's going to topple our entire economy if someone doesn't put the brakes on it, and soon.

Paying our bills was never in question in the last debt ceiling fight. The money was there to do so. What we couldn't have done if the debt ceiling hadn't been raised, is fund all of the outrageous, unconstitutional welfare programs the Socialists in Congress love so much.

That's what the fight was really about, and Ted Cruz explained it in detail to everyone who was listening.

Yet another one who doesn't understand the concept of fighting for what's right, come what may.

You're not going to fix Washington by voting for more of the same liberal jackwagons who got us into this abysmal mess to begin with. Doing that just gets you more of the same.

No, the only way you can break out of that vicious cycle is to start voting your principles. When you do that, you get people like Ted Cruz in Congress. People who fight to see your will done at the national level.

You could not be more wrong.

Cruz is speaking for all of us that love our country and he sees as we do the destruction that is being done by Obama and how weak the Republican party we have all supported just stands by, goes limp and will not fight back.
