HIDALGO George P. Bush began his four-minute speech to an audience of 40 in Spanish.
Looking around the three-quarters full room at the Hidalgo Chamber Wednesday afternoon, the Republican primary candidate for Texas Land Commissioner said he wanted support from Democrats.
He emphasized that he is proud of his Spanish heritage. Bush, 38, is the nephew of former U.S. President George W. Bush and the son of former Florida governor Jeb Bush. His mother is Columba Bush, who was born in the Mexican state of Guanajuato.
When asked how his non-Hispanic and famous surname would affect his chances with Rio Grande Valley Republican primary voters, George P. Bush said he did not analyze his candidacy by only his ethnicity, but by other factors as well.
I think its all a plus the fact that Im young, Im Hispanic, I can speak Spanish. These are areas that Ive talked about, as a party, just need to do a better job and being open and honest about that, said Bush, who is also the co-founder of the political action committee Hispanic Republicans of Texas.

“Look at me! I’m hispanic! I’m not a white guy...I swear!”
We are not even past the first sentence and it already shows everything that is Wrong with what he is doing!
It’s as if he was specially bred to pander to Hispanics for the Bushs. But if you need a little bit of white guy in there for other stuff, he’s got that too!
Are we now to expect a generation of Bushista politicians???
Here’s what he gets for being a white guy, too.

george P... the P is for PUKE!
Kissing the butts of all the non-English only folks, he has made a mockery of what has made America great.
Bob Perry gave before he died.
Does George P. even have opposition in November? I really do not know. I will leave his office blank for sure.
P’s primary opponent David Watts:

Does George P. even have opposition in November?
*************
Yes if you assume P wins the primary.

I will vote for Watts and then sit out the general election with George P. as the nominee.
What makes one think that Texans would rally against any Bush in a primary?
Gringo de Mexico?
Hey, it IS handy to know the language of our new conquerors.
Speaking Spanish is increasingly a defacto requirement for employment in my Southern California.
Colonizers bring their language. It's not a surprise.
"If the people were to ever find out what we have done, we would be chased down the streets and lynched." -- George H. W. Bush, cited in the June, 1992 Sarah McClendon Newsletter
What is he proving by this? That he like Nobama and so many others believe that the way to get ahead is by being ethnic. Sucks to be White, all the hate and blame and none of the bennies.
