The director of Colorado’s health exchange has been placed on administrative leave after the state discovered she had been indicted for stealing from a non-profit, the Denver Post reports:

[Christa Ann] McClure, 51, pleaded not guilty Feb. 6 in federal District Court in Montana to eight counts of theft and fraud from a nonprofit housing agency in Billings.

She was indicted Jan. 16 and notified her current Denver employer, the state-sponsored health exchange, on Monday, a few days after the story broke in Montana media, Connect for Health spokesman Ben Davis said in a telephone interview.

IMHO, most “non-profits” are just leftist tax-dodging schemes designed to promote and fund expanded government programs and more government funding for themselves while appearing benevolent and caring and paying their execs far more than they’d make if they had to get a real job with their negligible skills.

Why wonder? Unicorns are genetically possible via mutation. An honest Democrat via any means is not.

“Just wondering if there is ONE RAT ALIVE that’s honest!”

If: Democrat
Then: 100% crook, 100% of the time.

Now, that was simple, easy to remember, and very very correct.

Lesson two:

If: Republican
Then: 95% crook, 100% of the time.

We all know the few exceptions to lesson two.

The Daleks knew what to do.

"The Daleks knew what to do."

Well, good luck with that! Conservatives would rather piss in the wind than to take matters into their own hands.

She had a small budge in a non-pro and she took advantage of it. THEN they hand her BILLIONS!! for the Colo Health Exchange. Just imagine what she’s done since then.

SOME of her list of charges from the 12-page indictment:

While serving as executive director of the federally funded Housing Montana, McClure, between 2008 and 2010:

1. Paid herself “significant sums” for consulting services, although she was already on the payroll as a full-time employee.

2. She made payments to her family.

3. Charging homeowners for a $750 warranty that did not exist

4. Converting a laptop for personal use

5. Inflating the hours she was to be compensated

6. Writing herself a $21,000 check to which she was not entitled.

7. Used federal money for personal travel, to pay family bills and to buy consulting services.

(The indictment did not specify the total amount she allegedly embezzled.)

Every now and then “they” prosecute one to make us believe the rest are clean.

Just an observation....but all of this merely covers 2008-2010. I probably would ask what she did prior to 2008, and start an audit over that period. You’d probably uncover another forty charges. People don’t just go corrupt all of the sudden. She’s likely been up to this brand of corruption for years.

2011 - 2013/2014 might be even more eye opening.

As you say, it doesn’t “just start.” And on the other side, people like that rarely stop.
