PHOENIX - A new state bill would make it against the law for an illegal immigrant to use public resources

It is good publicity and gets people on record.
By rights, it’s exactly what should be done.
Illegal immigrants deserve no benefits whatsoever derived from our tax dollars.
Citizens pay for existing services to citizens, not to non-citizens.
Illegal aliens are criminals. They “deserve” to have their assets seized, to be arrested, to be jailed and to be deported.
Gets my vote. They do not belong here, and their ill gotten gains were come by through deceit and corruption.
I’m of a mind to sign on to business forfeiture too, after a couple of infractions on illegal hiring.
Provide instant check, and start enforcing the rules on the books.
Get a new accurate interpretation of the 14th Amendment, and quit considering illegal immigrant children to be U. S. Citizens. That was never the intent of the 14th.
Technically, only about half of illegal aliens are criminals.
Illegally entering the U.S. is a misdemeanor. Illegally entering the U.S. after you've been deported is a felony. Legally entering the U.S. on a student or tourist visa and not leaving when your visa expires is not a crime; it renders you subject to summary deportation, but not to any criminal penalty. Studies I have read say that about half of all illegal aliens in the U.S. are of the second type (visa overstays).
There's another big step to be taken along these lines; the practice is rampant in areas like LA, Phoenix, Las Vegas. Isolate the businesses that cater to illegals - car sales and rentals, grocery stores, money lending and transfer storefront shops, job placement services, etc., and close them all down. Jail the owners if they are here legally and deport them if they aren't.
And seal the Friggin' border!
Technically, that's a load of bovine excrement. A misdemeanor is still a crime, and they are still criminals. You can take that argument and stick it where the sun don't shine.
Just about anything along these lines works for me.
It’s an illegal underground economy. People earn the money under the table then have other family members stand in line to get government services.
2 nd time is a felony.
Bravo, Arizona. BRAVO! Obama and all his kind who cherish these foreign invaders can suck it.
Let ‘em pee, f’r godsake.
The rest is fine.
I said that. I also said that half of all illegal aliens didn't commit even a misdemeanor, because they didn't enter the U.S. illegally.
You can take that argument and stick it where the sun don't shine.
You're such a sweetheart.
I can be when I want to be.
Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) Section 222g Visa Overstays and INA Section 212(a)(9)(B) Aliens Unlawfully Present both discuss your scenario where an alien (non-immigrant) enters the U.S. legally but later loses that legal status.
It looks like your definition of violations of the INA under those sections are administrative in nature. Since the INA is a law passed by the Congress; I consider those violations to be crimes.
And there you have the reason for my earlier statements. Which, by the way, I still support. When you break a law, regardless of penalty, you have committed a crime. It really frosts my biscuits to have people come in here and try to downplay a serious problem by tossing out a strawman argument, know what I mean?
Anyway, thank you for your time and the opportunity for me to do a little more research on such an interestingly irrelevant comment.
