Like it. I have a 10,000 sq.ft. driveway on a very steep grade. We haven't had that many large storms this year, but there have been over 10 nuisance snows of 3 to 4 inches. Just to enough to pull out the blower and go at it.
I live on a rural road about two miles long. There are nine homes. Across the road is forest land. Where do they plow? Yep, on the side where the homes are. They got my new mailbox. This is now number 17 in the 19+ years I have lived here. I just discovered some breakaway bolts are not as breakaway as advertised.
They finally ran out of salt here and the next month really is the big storm month. Weird. They changed their route and are now plowing in the opposite direction.
Yeah. I am getting tired of the snow now. Deer? Rodents with four hoofs
Thanks for the laughs..

"the fact that using change places to make what purchases you can"I did not understand your meaning there. Could you rephrase or explain further? What is a change place?

My meaning is that I keep some change set aside just for use for any last minute purchases that I can safely make. any ‘zombies’ watching sees a someone buying say a few batteries and a couple of bottles on lamp oil with a pocket full of change isn’t going to be near as interested as they will in someone flashing a stack of greenbacks.

Snow is part of winter, get over it. Here in the north, we deal with snow almost daily. If you want to get out, plan ahead, take care of YOURSELF and you Neighbor. Stop whining.Just want to know, could you tell me what the older people do in your area? We had 3 snow-shoveling deaths near the Balt/DC area that I know of in our recent heavier-than-usual storm, all men in their late 50s-early 60s. Do the little old ladies and widowed/divorced older men have to give up living alone in your region, due to the heavy snowfall that you routinely have? How do they cope?

You've hit the nail on the head.
We live in Maine and the local leftist media has been running around screeching and waving their arms around about the heretofore unheard of calamitous effects of winter in Maine!
Of course, it's all due to "climate change" and lack of solar panels and windmills.
What complete tools.

First of all I’m prepared for the long term. Things like milk, bread and eggs, I’m prepped for but I prefer fresh. I look at the weather models GFS and NAM to determine what is heading my direction several days out. I can then go to the store and purchase items to get me through a weather event. If nothing happens no problem.
