Yes, she really said that. Wendy Davis: "Texas is not really a red state"

Wendy Davis's quixotic campaign for Texas governor is getting more and more like some awful reality show, where everything goes wrong and the candidate can't help making gaffe after gaffe.

Wendy's latest jaw dropper: Texas isn't really a red state.

Washington Examiner:

Wendy Davis told the Austin American-Statesman newspaper on Wednesday that "Texas is not really a red state, it's just a non-voting state."

Sure Wendy, sure.

Well, she is right about Texas being a non-voting state. Texas is one of the worst performers when it comes to voter turnout. In 2010, just 36.4 percent of registered voters actually voted, making it the worst state for turnout. In 2012, Texas ranked 48th in voter turnout, according to a report from the University of Texas at Austin.

In fact, Texas has had lower voter turnout rates than the national average since 1972.

But does that also mean the state isn't red?

Well then that makes it okay for Rats to stuff ballot boxes. It’s how they “would have” voted anyway.

With the invasion of Mexican Nationals that Texas is having to endure, I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s right. The Mexican government is taking over Texas, New Mexico and Arizona the same way it took over California. If Windy wants to be governor of Texas, she better learn how to speaka da espanol.

Maybe she should announce that when elected, she will change the name of Texas to “The People’s Republic of Texas”, the United States’ first fully communist state.

I’m sure that would go over real good with the Texans.

Texas isn’t a “red” state — at least it wouldn’t be, if Americans hadn’t flipped the colour code around. Everywhere else, red is the leftist/socialist/communist colour. Blue is the conservative/Tory/free-enterprise colour.

Same thing for “liberal” — in the rest of the Anglo-sphere, the term means pretty much the opposite of what it means in the U.S.A.

Why do conservatives allow “liberals” to hijack the language.

Rand Paul is right: Texas will go Democrat in 10 years if Republicans don’t start reaching out better to Hispanics.

Not changing the message, changing the TONE and METHODS....

Cornyn did his best this week to prove her right.

By that same token, Cruz did his best to prove her wrong.

If you check the history, California was a BATTLEGROUND state until....wait for it.....REAGAN believed the Democrats and granted AMNESTY....

Let's look at the voting pattern of California since World War II ended...you'll see it was a battleground state.

California BEFORE AMNESTY!

1948: Democrat Harry Truman won California with a WAFER THIN MARGIN. 47.5% of the vote went to Truman, and 47.1% went to Dewey. Close.

1952: Eisenhower won big over Stevenson, 56% to 42%. Eisenhower won big in most of the nation except for the South, which was dominated by the racist Democrat party.

1956: A repeat of '52; Eisenhower won everywhere but the South. In California he took 55% to Stevenson's 44%.

1960: An extremely wafer thin fight again: Nixon beaten Kennedy 50% to 49% in California. Many think voter fraud in Illinois (Chicago specifically) was what put JFK in the White House. But I digress....

1964: A big win for Lyndon Johnson over Barry Goldwater: 59% to 40%. Democrats take the state for the first time since Truman....but showing that, once again, California is a prize that candidates treasure.

1968: Another relatively close race: Nixon beat Humphrey 47% to 44%, and George Wallace got about 6%. Republicans take it back, but it was CLOSE.

1972: The Nixon landslide translated to the same thing in California: Dick won 55% to McGovern's 42%.

1976: Carter WON the national election, but LOST a very close race in California. Gerald Ford took the state 49% to 48%. This election showed again that California IS a battleground state.

1980: Reagan won big, 53% to 36% over Carter. But Reagan won big everywhere except for a few states.

1984: Reagan wins big in California over Mondale, 58% to 41%.

And then...came AMNESTY!!

Since then, with the ONE exception of the immediate election thereafter, California has voted in Presidential elections for the Demon Rats.

1986: Reagan believes the lying Democrats and amnesty becomes law.

California AFTER Amnesty!

1988: Bush, the Republican, carries California with a mere 51% of the vote. (illegals likely were not fully registered to vote by then)

1992: Clinton wins all of California's electoral votes, taking 46% of the vote against Bush's 32% and Perot's 20%.

1996: Clinton crushes Dole in California, 51% to 38%.

2000: Al Gore wins big in California, taking 53% of the vote to George W. Bush's 41%. Bush loses despite bragging more than once during the campaign that he would win California. He apparently thought his popularity with Hispanics in Texas would translate to California. Doesn't look that way.

2004: After four years of "compassionate conservative" policies, Bush is defeated in California again. The haughty John Kerry, who served in Vietnam, wins 54% of the California vote. Bush wins a mere 44% of the vote. By this time, it is apparent that California may never go Republican again....and smart political observers realize that with California and New York solidly voting Demon Rat, the Donkey Party gets about 80 electoral votes without having to do a damn thing.

2008: The degradation of California continues. 60% of the vote in that state goes to the Clown and Plugs. McCain, the one who pushes for amnesty and laughs at the idea of building a fence, got 37% of the vote. Pathetic.

2012: The dominance continues: 60% of the vote in what was ONCE a battleground state goes to the Clown and Biden. Keep in mind, this was after four years of OBAMA DESTROYING THE ECONOMY. Republicans could not make inroads. This wasn't due to a weak candidate--it was due to the electorate CHANGING....and it began changing in November of 1986 when Ronald Reagan, who was a good and decent man, believed Democrats would help secure the border. He granted amnesty to illegals, MOST of whom were in California.

BEFORE amnesty, Republicans had WON eight times in California and lost only TWICE.

After amnesty, Republicans have won ONCE in California, LOST six! (Six straight losses!)

Look, I am not saying amnesty was the SOLE factor in changing the California electorate...but I believe it was one BIG factor...one that Republicans ought to REMEMBER.

Without assimilation and education into the ideas of the Constitution, Capitalism, and Christianity, the ideas of American exceptionalism and the notion of NOT being DEPENDENT upon your fellow citizens via the federal government, many immigrants may automatically BUY INTO the lies of the Democrats. And then our Republic will be doomed.

Texas isn't really a red state.

I could care less about a Wendy Davis but from what I've been reading about Texas lately, she might be right..............2nd Amendment issues being at the forefront of my doubts...
