A friend sent me a link to an article on MediaTrackers.org, "Ohio National Guard Training Envisions Right-Wing Terrorism."
I have to say that I was outraged but not really surprised. That a state's National Guard training exercise would employ a scenario in which the "bad guys" were supporters of the Second Amendment and "limited government" is just a reflection of the regime's ongoing campaign to ridicule and demonize those who cherish the Constitution (not to mention the regime's defiance of the Constitution itself).
It reminded me of a Missouri Highway Patrol memo made public a couple of years ago in which troopers were cautioned that anyone displaying a Gadsden ("Don't Tread on Me") flag might be a potential right-wing terrorist.
And it was particularly not surprising in the context that it was the Ohio National Guard. Even though the personnel are all different now, for those of us with long enough memories the Ohio National Guard will always be known for a willingness to turn its armed might against fellow Americans of any political persuasion (e.g. Kent State, 1970).
But it certainly fit the Leftist meme that "right-wingers" in general, and the Tea Parties in particular, are racists and potential domestic terrorists.

The Left is unconcerned. Not as they were when card carrying Communists were being exposed and some were being outted for their collusion with Soviet agents.
Nearly all, if not all, of the recent history mass shooters are always progressives or democrats...
Well, you can’t use any minorities as the bad guys, you can’t use the gay mafia, you can’t use Muzzie terrorists, so what is left? That’s right, Tea Party patriots as the villains to the rescue.
Their goal is the deaths of millions of us, and the sheeple and lemmings will be conditioned to not only accept it, but to revel in it. We will be called every name in the book, and a few more.

But in this case, I believe the counter-battery fire will be so devastating, I’m not so sure the initiators will be happy at the end of the day...
Constitutionalists didn’t start the attack on basic freedoms and liberties in this country...I just hope there are enough left to prove the opposition wrong when the time comes...

The ultimate gut-check question, that is rhetorical, not requiring an answer on a publically accessible website is this...
“What are you prepared to do about it? AND, what are YOU willing to sacrifice to obtain success for these ideals?”

Here is the sticky wicket. If many Christian conservatives, especially American Catholics start being attacked and killed specifically for their faith, they’ve been taught to follow Jesus’ example and go to their deaths rather than kill the unbeliever. It is okay to defend one’s family against the marauder and to lay one’s life down for your kids and defend them, yet the faith issue is seen by our secularist detractors as our Achilles heel. Speak ill of measures allowing Gays access to our society in libertine ways, we are called “haters who are false to what real Christians” “should be”! Thus we cower to such manipulative accusations.
Many of our ministers, pastors, and priests have become “religious Phil Donahues” who call for “tolerance” and confuse their flocks as to how to deal with real evil. They aren’t teaching their flocks about the Hebrew midwives who defied Pharoah, feared God and would not kill the Hebrew new born males. We aren’t being taught to fear God more than man!
This is one of many reasons why this country can’t survive as a 50-state entity. We’ve crossed the rubicon into an era in which those once seen as America’s enemies are in power and those who defend it are deemed “terrorists.”
Eventually, at least some of those billion rounds bought up by “Homeland Defense” (isn’t THAT term Orwellian, BTW) will be directed at American citizens.

I agree... and for many of us the die is already cast. Many of us here on FR will eventually be on the receiving end of a some of those rounds bought up by government agencies in the past couple years. We’re entering a very dark time.
.. and not only are the barbarians already within, but we're feeding/clothing/housing them until such time as the HelterSkelter balloon goes up.
Irony is so ironic.

In the matter of numbers, we will never have more than maybe 30 some-odd percent. Cut that in half and then cut it in half again and it is still enough to make the initiators, as you say, wish they’d invested elsewhere.

I’m sure some day God, Jesus and I will have a great conversation about interpretation of what is right and wrong in cases like this...
Then we’ll all go fishing...I look forward to that time together...I know I will not be alone...
I also am confident that God never wanted us to be fatalistic, or so sacrificial with the gift of life and a soul for that matter...Yes, it is honorable and faithful to sacrifice yourself for others, including family in the taking of a life to protect others and the innocent...
If God doesn’t want me to act in that capacity, he will make the other person faster than I and I will lose my life...That is an acceptable outcome...
If I manage to survive an encounter with someone who wishes to make a bad decision and credibly threaten myself, or others in my vicinity...And they are on the receiving end of my action to defend myself...then I do not see that as something difficult to discuss with the Almighty later on...
Our God is a fair judge, his instructions and wish for us to be honorable to the gift he has given us is clear...If I err, I stand tall to be corrected by an authority higher than ANY government/laws instituted among men...
