Exclusive: Mega-donors plan GOP war council
Politico ^ | February 18, 2014 | Alexander Burns and Kenneth P. Vogel

A group of major GOP donors, led by New York billionaire Paul Singer, is quietly expanding its political footprint ahead of the midterm elections in an increasingly assertive effort to shape the direction of the Republican Party. The operation was launched discreetly last year, with the previously unreported formation of a club called the American Opportunity Alliance to bring together some of the richest pro-business GOP donors in the country, several of whom share Singer’s support for gay rights, immigration reform and the state of Israel. Around the same time, Singer and his allies also formed a federal fundraising committee called Friends for an American Majority that raised big checks for a select list of the GOP’s most highly touted 2014 Senate hopefuls.

Eh, I’ve already decided that unless it’s a conseravtive... and people pushing sodomy marriage aren’t... I’m staying home. If the Democrats are going to win anyway, let people like this “war council” bear the brunt of the new taxes and regulation. I’m tired of being told by the likes of them that conservatives have to surrender. Enjoy the decline, folks. Enjoy the decline.

Just another big money player that wants the gravy train to continue uninterrupted.

I think we need to reach out to dems and former dems that are getting disgusted supporting the dead beats and watching the society sink into hell.

I have far more in common w/ truck drivers and masons than I do w/ corp execs. We're all working hard to keep our families together in the face of the Culture of Death dhimmicratic party.

To expect the power elite of the GOPe to walk away from the trough is a pipedream.

Muslim Mohammed Subuh, eh? That's a new theory which I will have to check out. Frankly, nothing would surprise me. As you probably know, there is also evidence that Frank Marshall Davis, if not his real Daddy, was, at least, his bum chum.

Plus there is genealogical evidence that his claimed Kenyan Daddy was, in fact, a Muslim who, if not a direct descendant of slave traders himself was, at least, closely tied to their blood lines. The evidence on this is the matrarchial lineages on his purported Kenyan father's side: dead ends, almost every one.

Lineage keeping is quite important among devout Muslims. Gaps are permissible only when a Muslim convert is taken to wife. The most common cause of Muslim conversion among female captives are (a)the desire to remain alive and (b)the desire to remain closer to home by marrying a local captor rather than being sold into slavery in some unknown land.

This is the supreme irony: most of whatever African lineage BO can claim is almost entirely due to slaves captured and impressed into the harem by his mostly Arab fathers.

His Kenyan Lao tribe is high up on the totem pole only because of close blood and commercial ties with Arab slave traders!

I don’t think they really care which party label their chosen candidate carries, as long as they get to make money from the taxpayers via government largesse..........................

Greg Brannon should run this in his ads against Tillis.

Joe Miller should run this issue against Dan Sulivan in Alaska.

LOL at Ayotte moderating the debate. Will she have an earpiece direct to Lindsey Graham.

I wonder why they didn’t bring in Lindsey Graham to the meeting. It is a neocon discussion and he is a candidate that Singer supports.

Since Republicans embraced the social left long ago, both parties have worked for the same general constituency that pays them with dollars from debt.

Rand Paul's immigration speech
...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform
Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...

I am holding more and more to the facts that show that Obama’s mother was more than just a member of the Subud sect/cult together with Loretta Fuddy the Hawaiian keeper of birth records who died in a suspicious airplane crash. In fact Fuddy is reported to have been the chairwoman of the USA Subud cult in Seattle at one time. That the travels of the cult included Honolulu, Seattle and Chicago is even more intriguing because these are cities very much in Obama’s open life. The Kenyan was just a decoy for Ann’s escapades in Indonesia and such has worked to some extent as to the mystery about who Obama is.

I need to go to a monday meeting to talk some sense into this retard. A GOP that is for immigration and gay marriage has declared war on most of its supporters and the working class. It is the Whigs. Immigration is great for the rich who get cheap subsidized labor. It is a massive transfer of wealth to the rich. But for the working poor it is a disaster. And it means higher taxes for everyone, before we even start with the social costs of importing a new underclass. But in the long run, all we are doing is importing future socialist voters. 20 years ago, Bill Clinton said the era of big government is over. Today, the Repulicans are forced to write it a blank check. What has changed this if not millions new Democrats and cultural marxism, everything Singer supports.
If Singer thinks he is a Zionist, he is no less delusional. Muslims will soon outnumber Jews in America. They are the left's favorite victim group. And thanks to Grover al-Norquist, they have key allies in Republicans. Singer wants to import more, but imagine that this will not make America anti-Israel. He wants to import more Hispanics who have no love for Israel, and who see Jews as the richest whites. Singer would turn America into Malmostan. The only thing worse than rich men with influence who have no loyalty to the country, are mentally ill ones.

PS - his son is “gay married”.

That probably explains his super-zealous support of "gay marriage" which is discussed in his Wikipedia profile.

“how many of these guys get government grants, contracts and tax favors?”

Agreed! Corporations get bought off and clientized by the donks the same as their separate constituencies. Then of course they can blame corporate welfare on the pubbies. They just prove Lenins dictum that "capitalists will sell the rope to their own hanging. The way to stop it is to make sure that the country clubbers are paying for it with their own money.

They want rid of their base and seem to think they can co-opt the democrats base by turning more liberal. The liberal GOPe want the same things the liberals in the democrat party want, they just want to do a cheaper.

If I am a liberal why am I going to ever vote for the cheap imitation of me-too, me-too or little me-me instead of the genuine article? Or to put it another way if I am a liberal out looking for someone to hook me up with a whore on someone else’s dime for the evening do I want to go with the democrats offering the glamorous $1000 a night call girl or the Republicans pushing off the $25 an hour street walker?
