Ketut Pujayasa admitted to investigators that he ambushed and savagely beat a 31-year-old American woman after she slighted him, reported the Sun Sentinel.

The devilish Indonesian citizen told the FBI he attacked the 31-year-old American after he knocked on her door several times during a breakfast delivery and she dissed him, saying, “Wait a minute, son of a bitch!”

How about giving him a couple dozen cuts, then trailing him in the water? Might make for some interesting shipboard entertainment. He doesn’t deserve better.

I read somewhere that Indonesia has the largest Muzzie population in the world. You might check it is a thousand islands and a ton of people on them.

While Indonesia is predominately Muslism, it’s an “islander” version of it. Most of the people are pretty relaxed. If you ask them, they will of course say they are Muslim, but if you watched them for a day, you’d see they aren’t really a “practicing” Muslim.

I worked for a large Japanese company which had a strong presence in Indonesia at multiple sites. They all told me that prostitution there was more prevalent than in Thailand and cost a lot less as well.

A night with a Thai girl which included her making you breakfast cost about $20. In Indonesia, it was about $7.

Some of them brought back Indonesian brands of cigarettes to pass out in the office as souvenirs. When burning, they smelled a lot like weed. I can't say that they were as Japanese laws are quite strict on the importation of narcotics. But they sure smelled like weed.

However, there are Islamic extremists operating in parts of Indonesia, especially Aech Province, where beheadings and rape are all too common. And who can forget the Bali bombing atrocity?

Bangladesh has an even more relaxed version of Islam. This is why you seldom read about Bengali terrorists. Most of them have a closer cultural affinity to India which helped them win their 1970s War of Independence from their far harsher Islamic overlords in Pakistan.

When being called a devilish person, I conjure up a ‘carefree, fun loving gagster’, maybe acting on the ‘edge’ but generally not a ‘wicked or evil’ person???

Aha! So you admit to conjuring! ;)

Indonesian Ketut Pujayasa told FBI woman had insulted him at breakfast

He really over reacted, there's a right and wrong way to do these things.

I think India has more Muslims, but Indonesia is the largest majority Muslim country.

Their cigarettes commonly do have an extra ingredient, clove.

And I believe it on the costs you mentioned, Indonesia is very cheap. I got a pink pearl necklace and earrings with silver settings for my wife for $15. I took it to a jeweler friend in the state out of curiosity before I wrapped them up and asked him about the value and he said he could easily sell the set for over $200.

All that aside, I do want to clarify that even if the Indonesians were obedient Muslims, it wouldn’t mean they wouldn’t do the things from this article or what you mentioned. It’s just the way Indonesia is. If you are a druggie, mentally disturbed perv, or want something else that’s illegal in the states, you can probably get it cheap in Indonesia. I’m in the opinion this story on the cruise ship is more due to a stereotype in Indonesian culture than their religious beliefs.

This is all a misunderstanding!

She didn’t say, “Wait a minute, son of a bitch.”

I will bet that after he beat on the door several times, she said, “Wait a minute. Son of a bitch.” As in, damn is all that beating necessary!

And she wasn’t raped, she was taught a rough lesson about using certain American tendencies in the presence of international personnel!

Do I really need a /sarc tag?!?!?!?

My mother took me on a cruise. In all honesty I felt guilty about the contrast between my time there and the employees’ time. Me, dining on very fine food three times a day, our cabin tidied twice a day, strolling the decks and watching the passing seascape, the the stewards and waiters so polite and smiling. Them, working 12 to 14 hours a day, seven days a week, sleeping in windowless cabins, near the rumbling engines. Away from home and family six months at a time. Most of them were Filipinos, and maybe they were making good money for Filipinos, and it’s probably better than farming or factory work. They’re Christians, and the man who led the Sunday worship service was a lay pastor.

The officers, the medical staff, the entertainers and activities directors were Westerners.

But the truth is, my mother could never have afforded this luxurious treat if all the crew were Westerners, being paid Western wages.

It seems like many cruise lines are basically your local fast-food restaurant on the high seas.

My wife and I have cruised numerous times and have always got the best of service as well as respect from the crew. We have been treated badly at some hotels in the states however and several waiters in the states. This guy in an abomination from our experiences....just saying.....nut cases come in all nationalities !!!

Bear in mind they are making ten times what they make in their homeland and that’s a conservative estimate. The crew we spoke too always expounded on how lucky they felt to have landed their job and how much they appreciated the people cruising!!!
