The Muslims of the Central African Republic Face a Deadly Purge
Time Magazine ^ | Feb. 20, 2014 | Andrew Katz

The anti-balaka have outgrown their name. These militias in the Central African Republic, once united under a moniker meaning “anti-machete” in the local Sango language, are exacting their own vicious revenge upon the mainly Muslim rebels who overthrew the government last March and waged months of terror against the Christian population. They are now accused of atrocities far worse than what first prompted them to take up arms.

An Amnesty International report on Feb. 12 said attacks on Muslims in January by anti-balaka militias, made up of Christians and animists, had amounted to “ethnic cleansing.” Fatou Bensouda, chief prosecutor at the International Criminal Court at The Hague, has already opened a preliminary investigation into crimes against humanity, saying some “victims appeared to have been deliberately targeted on religious grounds.” A top U.N. official issued similar warnings during a recent visit to the ravaged capital, Bangui, telling reporters: “There is an ethnic-religious cleansing taking place. It must be stopped.”

Sorta on the same lines as what we have here.

Sorta? The parallels are uncanny. Romney = the soft socialism of the EU. BO = the hard Marxism choice. Some choice, eh?

According to the article, the muslim “rebels” were supported by Muslim soldiers from the Armies of Chad and Sudan - overthrowing the CAR government, installing a muslim president and systematically discriminating against and attacking non-muslims - an extension of the jihad that the government of Sudan has been conducting since back when they were hosting Usama bin Laden. Since the Government of Sudan is the employer of Barak’s brother Malik Obama, I’d guess our government will make another stand in defense of the jihadis.

Gee...

Moslems getting a taste of their own medicine... What a shame... Not.

Don’t stop till they’re gone.

When you get a chance, read Spencer’s Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades.

The moslems and the left HATE the guy; ergo, he’s over the tarrget.

The pattern seems to be:

(1) Muslims go into an area.

(2) When numbers are sufficient, they attempt to take over.

(3) If there is resistance or push-back, the imams screech "Muslims are being oppressed", and motivate Muslims from all over to converge to the place where resistance is happening.

This is why I said in my first comment, that I think this is an attempt to provide an excuse for Chad and Sudan to invade.

This is probably another Goldstone type report replete with anti-western propaganda and outright lies. I even think Amnesty International contributed to the creation of the Goldstone lies.

Was Time-Lies-Warner-Turner surprised that Islamists conquered the nation to begin with?

After all, Time famously declared God to be “dead” in the 1960s.

Why should it only be a week or two? Conversions like this often taker months or years. What happens to those who do convert; how are we supposed to act towards them then? What happens to those who instead decide to become agnostic, Hindu, Sufi, Buddhist, Animist, Pagan or something else? Not saying I don’t support African Christians taking out he trash when they have to - I definitely do - but how would that work?

Gosharooti. Is the Interrational “Community” cynically purveying greed and apathy as concern for human rights? Shocked. Shocked.

Of course. Didn't you get the memo?

Just like "diversity" is great, except when it means white people encroaching into a black neighborhood. Then it's called "gentrification" and is very bad.

Christians can be slaughtered every day and twice on Sunday, and the SCM is silent with their useful idiots at Amnesty International....

dollars to donuts, our messiah sends more troops to Africa to protect his friends.

The events in CAR are having effects elsewhere in Africa:

Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu of Ghana made an announcement:

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has advised Ghanaians to learn from the nasty developments in the Central African Republic (C.A.R) and the Middle East and to remain religiously tolerant towards one another in order to avoid witnessing a possible religious violence in the country.

“It is suicidal to remain aloof without acting with urgency witnessing the nasty religious violence taking place in C.A.R. and the Middle East,” the Islamic leader said.

According to the Chief Imam, failure on the part of Ghanaians to remain religiously tolerant towards one another could spark up a possible religious and ethnic violence in the country as being witnessed in the Central African Republic.

“A threat to one’s religion could be viewed as a threat to the very existence and well-being of one’s community. It is necessary therefore to respect the religion of others within our communities to avoid destroying their existence and well-being as humans,” the Chief Imam added.

Ghana is just 17% Muslim. I'm thinking they don't want to piss off the non-Muslim Ghanaians right now.

Atrocities against the peaceful Muslims? Sucks to be them, I guess.

Both of them are *very* upset.
