Rand Paul calls on Ted Nugent to apologize for Obama jab
washington Times ^ | February 21, 2014 | Cheryl K. Chumley

Sen. Rand Paul said in a Twitter message that rocker-turned-activist Ted Nugent ought to apologize for making “offensive” remarks about President Obama.

Mr. Nugent made the media wave this week with an interview in which he described the president as a “subhuman mongrel,” right before he took to the campaign trail for Texas gubernatorial hopeful Greg Abbott. Mr. Abbott’s aides have since distanced their candidate from Mr. Nugent and quietly removed him from the campaign trail, Newsmax reported.

Late Thursday evening, Mr. Paul made his view of the situation clear.

In a tweet, he wrote: “Ted Nugent’s derogatory description of President Obama is offensive and has no place in politics. He should apologize.”

Mr. Paul wasn’t the only GOPer to weigh in. Sen. Ted Cruz said “of course” he didn’t agree with Mr. Nugent’s assessment of the president, The Hill reported. And Gov. Rick Perry said he didn’t like the use of the word “mongrel” to describe a president, The Hill said.

Mr. Nugent originally made the remarks in an interview with Guns.com. His full statement: “I have obviously failed to galvanize and prod, if not shame, enough Americans to be ever vigilant not to let a Chicago communist-raised, communist-educated, communist-nurtured subhuman mongrel like the ACORN community organizer gangster Barack Hussein Obama to weasel his way into the top office of authority in the United States of America.”

Frightening Hegemony, complaining about the “tone” of political discourse. We are angrym. Do you know why? Ask the interviewer to ask Obama why he is angering people to the core. Call Obama every name in the book. That what you get with someone in that office insisting on blatantly unconstitutional acts, and leading us down the path towards a banana republic. Hey, that’s racist-NOT!

Not sure what the calculus is...

Rand surely understands there isn’t a need to comment on something like this...Perhaps it is to make himslef appear more likeable to people who don’t hate the president, but are not 100% sure to vote Democratic in 16.

Ted said nothing we hadn’t heard before out of Obama’s own mouth

Obama called himself a Mutt

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u96pNpxEbSQ

When Obama gives condolences to Brian Terry’s family, and apologizes for the 100 or more people who died because of Fast and Furious. When Obama gives a full explanation of what he was doing during Benghazi, why he didn’t do what other country’s did evacuate the embassy, or provide the extra security Ambassador Stevens requested.

H. Ross Perot was a boss who risked his own life to save his employees lives. Obama doesn’t see to give a darn about the people who work for him.

That might be subhuman. And Rand Paul is another GOP throwing a good conservative under the bus. When was the last time a Democrat thru a progressive under the bus?
The libs still won’t call Clinton a sexual predictor, not one NOW woman ever wanted Clinton investigate because of Juanita Broderick. Rand needs to know when to shush up.

Rick Perry said he didn’t like the use of the word “mongrel” to describe a president

LOL!
But labeling him as "subhuman" is OK!

Why should Nugent apologize? we all know that he wouldn’t mean it. LOL

Why don’t these people focus on important issues instead of what someone truthfully described the _resident? I would distance myself from Paul and Perry because they want to cover up the truth.

Senator Paul will probably offend more here asking for Nugent to apologize than Nugent offended wearing a diaper on stage.

Ted should correct this. He should have said ‘allegedly’ since we haven’t seen any real documentation. He may actually be a purebred Davis puppy.

Nugent really *should* apologize to subhuman mongrels everywhere.

Actually, it is kind of funny that from all that Nugent said, the Republicans are saying, essentially, that Nugent was CORRECT except for the “subhuman mongrel” term.

:-)

Remember the Han Solo line from Star Wars— “Who you calling ‘scruffy’?”

So it is OK for Paul’s aides call Cruz “the chief of the wacko birds” though? Rand seems a bit confused.

I would like to introduce a law making it illegal to publiclicly apologize.

I do not respect anyone who apologizes because they offended someone, but meant what they said. If Ted Nugent wants to be outrageous and provocative, so what?
