Kim Strassel [WSJ]: Another Misguided Cruz Missile
The Wall Street Journal Online ^ | February 21, 2014 | Kim Strassel

Posted on 02/21/2014 9:58:52 AM PST by Zuben Elgenubi

Ted Cruz is aiming for Mitch McConnell, but he may blow up the GOP's chances for a Senate majority in November.

A rump band of Beltway conservatives has seen the enemy and it is not Harry Reid. It is Mitch McConnell, whose scalp is apparently worth blowing yet another shot at a Republican Senate majority.

I’d rather spend our resources going after democrats.

The Tea Party IS going after Democrats. They’re just starting with the Democrats who call themselves Republicans.

I live in Texas and I’m politically active, but, I must confess: I don’t even know who the candidates are for the Senate Race in Texas. Whoever the eventual Dem nominee is, he/she will get about 35% of the total vote.

(Psst.... That’s why we have to take John Cornhole out in the Primary.)

The Tea Party endorsement for Senator has been awarded to Dwayne Stovall. There are other candidates worth investigating.

Will somebody please tell Kim Strassel that it is primary season when candidates of the same party run against each other.

Looks like the RINOs have gotten their marching orders.

How pathetic.

Tell that to the GOPe who is spending their time attacking the TEA Party, their Chamber of Amnesty vowed $50M to fight the TEA Party

I wrote the following about Thomas Stoll but it works for Kim too

Boot Camp and training is suppose to weed out those unfit for combat. Unfortunately there is no similar weeding out process in politics so we often elect people lacking in either wisdom or courage and more that a few that are simply outright frauds.

What Thomas Sowell does not get (giving him the benefit of the doubt) is that Cruz knew the battle would be lost but would expose for all to see who was just talking that talk and who was willing to stand and fight. You are never going to win a war if your ranks are full of cowards and traitors. Which is why I called Cruz’s tactics brilliant. Now we know who not to send back to the Congress. Job well done Senator Cruz.

Now about that Thomas Sowell “not getting it” thing. Sowell is a very bright guy, smarter and more knowledgeable than I. So if I can figure things out surely he can too. One thing I do know is that Cruz scare the crab out of the professional elites. Anyone attacking Cruz is suspect of being an elite or employed by one. I think Thomas Sowell might have just outed himself.

Exactly.

And LOL at the ‘scare the crab’ part.

My question to all these idiots is as follows, and makes a great campaign slogan:

“Shouldn’t we have a second political party in Washington?”

Or

“No More Show Votes!”

All these idiots were for it before because the entire Tea Party thing sounded good and nobody in DC ever expected we actually meant what we were saying.

Now that the GOPe is realizing they can no longer look at this as a simple rebranding exercise, the reality is dawning on them that a pretty big percentage of conservatives actually expect Republicans to be conservatives.

This isn’t convenient, to say the least.

One more thing:

1. They ridicule you
2. They fight you
3. You win

Ask the fags. They’ll tell you.

LOL... Thanks for the info. But, I meant that I don’t know who the DEMOCRAT candidates are for U.S. Senate. Trust me, I’ve investigated every candidate in the GOP Primary.

Ted must be scaring the defecation out of the ruling-class RINO elite!

They are putting out daily talking-point bulletins on him!

Go Ted! Run for President. I will send money. I will vote for you as many times as Eric Holder's people get to vote.

If Wendy Davis were smart, she would have run against Cornyn. Her resume is perfect for DC, and she could have run for a lot less money.

GOPe loved the Tea Party in 2010, when we took the House and handed Boehner the gavel. They never thought we would hold their feet to the fire.

I'm still very wary of an amnesty vote after the primaries.

Wouldn’t it be nice if Senator Cruz used some of his first class intellect and debating skills to attack DEMOCRATS?

If Senator Cruz, after pushing out the Senate leaders that Obama hates, DID became the Republican Senate Minority Leader in 2014, WHAT DIFFERENCE WOULD IT MAKE?

Obama and Reid would STILL call the shots!

I distinctly remember Cruz attacking Democrats over and over and over again in a lengthy filibuster. He's attacked on repeal, delay, defund. He's attacked on immigration, on natural marriage, and even on the Ukraine.

Those who haven't seen these things haven't been paying attention.

Lugar is now out there supporting a Democrat. BIG loss. LOL It’s not my fault that Herr Rove withholds money from Tea Party primary winners. Luckily, Rove’s contributions are drying up. Bob
