I read somewhere that Cassidy is a very recent Republican, maybe just since 2004, not sure of the timing. And he was supposedly a leftist Democrat before he switched. This may not be true though.

You’re the one that does the bios on the LA politicians. I don’t know what Cassidy was prior to 2006. He’s from the Chicago suburbs originally.
