The author is a shill. > Almond holds a Master's degree (M.A.), and is the Chair of the British Helsinki Human Rights Group (which despite its name is not affiliated with the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights). He has served as an election observer under the aegis of the BHHRG in a number of countries including Georgia and Ukraine. Almond has been critical of what he characterizes as Western interference with democracy... has written a biography of Nicolae and Elena Ceauşescu, a study of Albanian migration, and a study of the Bosnian War in its historical context... also writes articles for national papers such as The Guardian, New Statesman, and The Mail on Sunday, and makes guest appearances on RT [Pooty's 'Russia Today' agitprop] news network programmes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Almond

Stalin settled many ethnic Russians in the eastern part of the Ukraine. This led to a natural divide in the country.

Are you sure about that?...on a map the German led EU today looks a lot like Nazi Germany

Yes, it sure is easy to see Grossdeutschland v. 2.0 on those maps.

Germans my age (I was born in 1950) are allergic to the idea of national interest. Young Germans hold the key to the future of Europe.

I wonder what they think? Even more important, I wonder, do they dream?

Can I just get a basic summary of what is going on with the uprising/overthrow in Kiev? Is it good for CONSERVATIVES in the US that this happened? What’s the next logical step with what happened?

Young Germans hold the key to the future of Europe.

I agree and am encouraged by their participation in nascent political parties like Alternatives for Deutchland (AfD), which is oriented around the idea of a de-centralized Europe and looks likely to win seats in German government.

whoa - i only saw brave men and women with sticks and clubs and horribly inadequate shields going up against soldier with rifles. Where does THAT kind of bravery come from nowadays?

They guessed wrong on almost every single detail.

No Plan Survives Contact with the Enemy.

It’s World War One; there’s thirteen million killed; it was all because the militaries of both alliances believed they were so highly attuned to one another’s movements and dispositions, they could predict one another’s intentions, but all their theories were based on the last war. And the world and technology had changed, and those lessons were no longer valid, but it was all they knew, so the orders went out, couldn’t be rescinded. And your man in the field, his family at home, they couldn’t even tell you the reasons why their lives were being destroyed.

WWI was all about feeding Moloch. The globalist’s aiding and abetting of the spread of jihad is another example.

Perhaps you misinterpreted my thought. The video depicted incredible bravery and strength of purpose.

Having never been in a battle, I have never seen such courage . It was truly remarkable. They picked up the shields from the fallen police. Some found their helmets. Practically all had fashioned them selves some kind of shield from road signs or plywood or some such. Several cut cardboard strips and fastened them as shin guards with duct tape.

We read of the masses in the French Revolution attacking with scythes and pitch forks. The Ukrainians on the video lacked even those rudimentary weapons. Others depicted elsewhere this morning did have rifles and shot guns. Thoose in the video had neither.

If Russia is going to take any drastic step, I think the first might be that Putin will annex the Crimea, fort good, as a first shot warning to western Ukraine that it risks breakup if East and West Ukraine cannot find compromises both areas can accept.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2014/02/22/the-battle-for-kiev-may-well-be-over-but-is-the-battle-for-crimea-about-to-begin/

“Other politicians have expressed similar hopes. Volodymyr Konstantinov, the speaker of Crimea’s parliament, recently told lawmakers that the region may well secede if Ukraine’s tensions begin to pull it apart. The parliament has also suggested that the region’s constitution be amended to list Russia as the “guarantor” of Crimea’s autonomy.”

Putin may not wait.

Sure puts the open mic quote, 'After my election I have more flexibility' in a different tone, now, doesn't it?

“Every revolution evaporates and leaves behind only the slime of a new bureaucracy.” - Franz Kafka

Anyone who believes the new leaders will be any better than the old is being unreasonably optimistic. The gal just released from prison brings a lot of baggage with her, and there will be many people fighing for control. Most, if not all of them, have their own agenda.

I think 2014 will be an uprising against corruption all across the globe, starting with throwing the Marxists out in DC in November.

Damaged a propeller in maneuvering to a Turkish fueling dock. Reports say no damage to the hull, but several hundred gallons of fuel oil appeared following the grounding. A sunken vessel or displaced underwater pipeline?
