A senior at Northeast High School in Clarksville, Tenn. has been suspended for 10 days and faces a multitude of additional punishments including criminal charges because school officials found a knife belonging to his father inside his father’s car.
The student is David Duren-Sanner, reports local CBS affiliate WTVF.
The student’s father is a commercial fisherman who works on the West Coast. The father left — wait for it — a fishing knife in the car.
Duren-Sanner has sworn he knew nothing about it.

I was amazed that school officials could search vehicles and from the reports must have almost removed the seats to find the knife. Police couldn’t do this without probable cause or a warrant. Do school officials have so much time on their hands that they can spend hours searching student’s cars? This whole thing is ludicrous.
“Guilty until proven innocent,” Duren lamented. “It’s part of this zero tolerance policy.”
This is one of many reasons why jury nullification should be taught to all conservatives. This decent person should be found Not Guilty regardless of the letter of the law. As for the morons who are wasting taxpayer dollars on this political show trial (demonizing weapons), they should be treated appropriately.

Everybody carried a pocket knife to school when I was growing up, even in grade school.
In highschool (driving age) I always had a shotgun in the trunk of my car during dove & quail season. Many had shotguns in a gun rack in their PU trucks parked in the school parking lot.
We never killed or knifed anyone.
Of course, back then we got an education. We could read and write upon graduation from HS.
Put the blame clearly where it belongs...on the parents...for intentionally sending their son to a government school. Those places are a known quantity. It’s not like anyone can pretend they don’t know that this is what government schools are all about.

They searched his CAR on a random lockdown search. No probable cause, no warrant, no nothing, just a random search.
Why is it that articles like this can’t point out the gross violation of civil rights but they can sure call it a civil rights violation when a Christian doesn’t want to bake a cake for a gay wedding.
