WND ^ | Feb. 24, 2014 | Pat Buchanan

Posted on 02/25/2014 6:31:32 PM PST by Bon of Babble

Pat Buchanan wants to put hundreds of thousands of 'diversicrats' out of work.

Scores of thousands of bureaucrats – academic, corporate, government – are on watch, overseeing our economy, patrolling our society, monitoring our behavior.

I always like Pat a lot but there is zero chances of that.

Hell, Brewers going to veto that bill in AZ under pressure.

I agree. Not only are they infringes on personal liberty but they are arbitrarily enforced. “Affirmative action” and “diversity” = racism against whites and sexism against males.

So get rid of the whole lot . . . throw out birthright citizenship too.

Sorry I said anything nice about ya, Pat. Modify the parts that are wrong but I can’t see going back 60 years. You must have more faith in human nature than I do.

Bravo. I’ve been saying this for years. The Fed have proven themselves incapable of objectively enforcing the “civil rights laws’. They are purely an arm of the Democrat Party. The first to go, has to be the sexual harassment laws, and then the civil rights laws. Return this to the States and the People. The Feds ought to have little tonothing to do with individual Americans and getting involved with all this crap has proven to be a disaster once Jim Crow was overthrown.

We would lose 20% of the entire government workforce if we did this

People don’t remember. Guys you didn’t even know would come up to you as you sat at your desk and put their arm around your shoulders. The classifieds were divided into Help Wanted Male and Help Wanted Female. The Ivies didn’t let Jews in. I remember all of this first-hand. Trust me, we don’t want to go back to it.

You can’t legislate away rudeness and ignorance.

And if it were ONLY official race and gender blindness. Now it’s lamented by every lofty liberal that there aren’t as many women doing engineering as there are men.

One doesn’t need a nanny for everything.

So what?

Think of all those jobs Americans won't do, for which, suddenly, there would be Americans available to hire!

Well, a lot of it stopped, so I guess you can legislate away some things.

“Does anyone really believe if Civil Rights laws were repealed we'd go back to black and white drinking fountains? Blacks riding in the back of the bus? Separate entrances areas for blacks?”

NO, but liberals and Blacks certainly do. They're trapped in the 1950s and early 1960s segregation mindset — one they cherish and nourish every day.

You’re a strange person. You honestly believe that the people you work with, live with, and pass by on a daily basis are troglodytes barely kept in check by a few 50-year-old federal laws?

You think that if we repeal an archaic act of congress that does little but keep the ghosts of old hatred alive that all of society will do a moral 180-degree turn and descend into barbarism?

You think that with a radically different demographic makeup in this nation, several generations of moral change, 50 years of cultural change, the replacement of leaders of industry, state, academia and media that have taken place since then, that the only thing keeping this country from looking like 1950’s America is the Civil Rights Act?

pat is right again! He is most of the time. Support Gov. Brewers—dismiss the Gay Mafia and their control of all things in society.

Of course Pat is correct in pointing out that these laws are no longer necessary and were in fact, never quite constitutionally legal ... that is they were specifically designed to unconstitutionally favor one group of citizens over others as a remedy for grievances already specifically addressed by constitutional amendments and other laws.

For example, our British cousins are at least a bit more forthright in calling their version of Affirmative Action what it really is, "Positive Discrimination."

Instead of enforcing existing laws, which certainly could have been done to address Negro grievances in the first place, law after law was piled on top of them. In a strange way, this is an echo of "Gun Laws," which in many cases were originally enacted to keep Negroes from their Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

However, the Negro vote, 12% of our population, is now concentrated in such a way as to dominate national elections and the representative bodies of the most populated states and is a key Democrat constituency, without which they would pass from national power. Thus, in a practical sense, we are stuck with Political Correctness and Affirmative Action.

Remember the Negroes were an important Republican constituency in earlier non-urban times. That is, until the last freed slaves and then their immediate offspring, passed from the scene.

Pat is right.

Sure we needed a change, now we HAVE change.

The system is still stuck in “fix things” mode. Things are fixed now.

Beyond fixed. Now we need to eliminate the structural discrimination we have built.

Now.

While I agree with Pat in the ideal, reality says there is zero chance of that happening or anyone in GOP even calling for it. Might as well not fantasize.

I take a different approach:

If I had to bet I would bet that Brewer vetoes that AZ bill.

Our friendly corporations (who progressives say they hate) are threatening to isolate her state from business.

As a nation, no.

In Cullman County, Alabama, yes.
