Despite growing controversy over the use of anonymous pharmacies for lethal injections, the U.S. Supreme Court has thus far declined to block any executions based on 11th-hour appeals challenging the drug connections.
That includes the case of Michael Taylor, a convicted rapist and murderer who was put to death at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday in Missouri after a furious legal battle that stretched well into the night.
It's worth nothing, however, that three high court justices wanted to block Taylor's execution and cited the words of an appeals judge who said so little was known about the source of the deadly dose of pentobarbital that it "could be nothing more than a high school chemistry class."

Only the government could turn a $10.00 procedure into a multi-million dollar disaster.
Couldn’t we just turn these guys over to the VA, and let them do the normal treatment on them? It’s fifty-fifty if you survive, and we’d just extend out to twelve months with the VA....so there’s no way they’d ever walk out of the place alive.
Dead is dead.
Who gives a rats ass how they send these scumbags to the depths of hell?
We have time and money to waste on this crap?
Maybe it should be public record who supplies abortion clinics. They should think before they open this can of worms.
Given that "Planned Parenthood" (aka "Planned Butchery") is publicly funded (and a 501C3 organization), shouldn't a right-to-life group be able to use a FOIA request to obtain all of their financial records, including transactions with everyone in their supply chain? The more I think about this, the better it sounds.
Time to bring back the straight forward, cheap, and simple firing squad.
“Time to bring back the straight forward, cheap, and simple firing squad”
Agreed...but what caliber to use??? (my tagline never disappoints me)
Bingo !
Bullets are cheaper than drugs.
At least for now.
Why is there no outcry about Japans use of hanging.
Prisoners, who spend years, even decades, on death row, typically are not told of their execution until hours before they are led to the gallows.
Their lawyers and relatives are informed only after the execution has been carried out.
In a report published in 2008, Amnesty [International] said inmates in Japan were being driven insane and exposed to “cruel, inhuman and degrading” punishment.
Some live like this year after year, sometimes for decades. To allow a prisoner to live for prolonged periods under the daily threat of imminent death is cruel, inhuman and degrading”
We need to return to the rope, quicker, virtually instantaneous, and environmentally friendly.
“Why is there no outcry about Japans use of hanging.”
The Japanese don’t care and made it clear they aren’t changing their way of doing things.
I sincerely think that a bullet is a lot more humane. There’s something psychotic about using an injection to off someone and I think it takes a really messed up person to be able to participate in what is essentially a medical murder. A lot like Mengele. An execution should be a bullet or rope or beheading.
The millions come from the endless appeals and nonstop retrials.
I think executions should be delayed only a year and a day from the time of conviction; after detailed forensic evidence verifies that the person on death row is in fact guilty, then a date should be set and should proceed.
If someone is guilty like Bundy, they have no business being on death row for more than a year and a day.
The lawyers do. Not the taxpayers and the law enforcement officers.
You are right. How about the heroine, the original lethal injection? Anyway the abortion death camps have been covered in the cloak of darkness of the left, you know the party of the “children”. They care more for those pieces of trash that kill innocent people but don’t care about the millions of babies that they slaughtered.
