People like Rod Dreher and others thought Social Conservatives could make a stand protecting religious liberty since the campaign over gay marriage is over. But from the events over the past two weeks this defensive line will hold up about as well as those defensive lines Hitler thought up as the Wehrmacht retreated on the Eastern Front in the face of the Red Army juggernaut.

wow

that’s quite an extended metaphor!

that aside

The REAL reason homos are winning is cause of what they offer society:

1. The Religious Right screams and insults and threatens

while

2. The homos quietly point out they possess... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Guess which wins in the real world, hostility or profit?

These type of efforts have to be taken way more strategically than this to avoid these embarrassing routs.

The Left had too easy of a job claiming these laws are the same as a business refusing to serve an inter-racial couple over religious objections.

Quite embarrassing and counter-productive to result to have these retreats.

There are two types of gays. Those whose core and the entirety of their being is their sexual orientation - you can’t talk to them for five minutes without their bringing up the fact that thay’re fudge packers, and then there are those who are like anyone else except they happen to be gay. I have no problem getting along with the latter, but the former irritate and bore the living daylights out of me.

I guarantee that Mississippi won’t cower to nonsense. Georgia on the other hand not so sure. I expect Mississippi to pass this and be happy to do so.

“The Religious Right screams and insults and threatens”

Seriously? Who are we threatening? Name any popular spokesperson on the “religious right” who’s screaming. As for insults, that’s in the eye of the beholder. No doubt some people think it’s in insult to call homosexuality deviant behavior. I could just as easily claim it’s insulting to say sodomy is morally equal to heterosexual relations.

In other words, you’re full of it.

Bingo. Why we are losing and WILL lose this battle. I don’t think many realize we are a small minority and America just doesn’t think like us anymore. Because of the press and Internet we seem like a larger group than we actually are. I’m not at all advocating caving on what we believe (a/k/a RINOs). But we are perceived, and not without good reason, as a bunch of cranky old lunatics. And we cranky old lunatics are a quickly vanishing breed. It’s why I harp that we need a leader and not a rabble rouser which is why I am no Ted Cruz fan. Would I vote for him? Of course. Buy my shrinking demographic will never get him nominated much less elected. We need to be smart in our anger. But I haven’t seen an inch of progress onthat in years. It’s why the RINOs run the show. They aren’t so smart, but they aren’t perceived as screamers.

Wanna win elections? You MUST have the numbers. Unfortunately. We don’t, and screaming is not the way to get them. Sure people hate O’Dimwit. But these are different times. That does not mean they vote for us.

Maybe not, but they’ve already stripped a lot of the bill out.

The Religious Right is popularly perceived as a bunch of deluded white geriatrics hollering at clouds. And that’s what FR projects, as well...even tho we all know there are reasonable Freepers who lurk quietly (or else they’ll get ranted at).

There’s no avoiding this perception. Look at how the Tea Party is portrayed in the hostile media.

Then look ay how homos are portrayed to the peasantry: jolly, attractive...and rich. (That last is correct, by the way.)

The social war’s over.

PS: Raphael Cruz is just the flavor the month. He’ll pass if a real leader appears.

So challenging your hyperbole about the “religious right” equates to screaming and insulting? Sorry, but I don’t think you understand the meaning of those words. Pray tell, how did my post insult both you and homosexuals?

BTW, when I say you’re full of it, it’s the same thing as saying you’re writing nonsense and/or exaggerating. I don’t disagree that homosexuals have money to spend. I’m taking issue with your characterization of the so-called religious right.

The Religious Right just lost Kentucky

The social war’s over.

If it is it's via government coercion by the courts. The people have not changed their minds and the laws they have passed are being struck down by a tyrannical government. Are people angry? Of course they are. Rightly so.

I’ve foudn that most people don’t give a damn about homos.

They’re worried about their bills, their rising taxes, and the way their kids’ education sucks.

Also
the issue of Constitutional reciprocity was settled by the Civil War.

The social war’s over.

It's far from over. The left asks for an inch and takes a mile every time. Their policies hurt society, and we are seeing that in action.

Caving in to them isn't going to help anything.

I’ve foudn that most people don’t give a damn about homos.

Is that why so many states voted aainst homosexual marriage?

I listen to my 22 yr old grandson and his friends and "You're so gay!" is an insult. The recipient gets angry too. They care.
