LGBT group to march in South Boston's St. Patrick's Day Parade
Boston ^ | 3/1/14 | Zimmerman

Posted on 03/01/2014 4:03:53 PM PST by mgist

The Boston Globe reported earlier today that Mayor Walsh and parade organizers have negotiated a deal that would allow for LGBT advocacy group MassEquality to march in the parade, however there are conditions attached. Marchers from the group would not be permitted to wear T-shirts or hold signs that include the word gay or refer to sexual orientation.

They should cancel the parade.

No; they should NOT!!!

(They should invite Westboro to march along BEHIND them!)

I'd pay GOOD money to see the results of THAT!!

I feel pretty,
Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty, and witty and gay,
And I pity
Any girl who isn’t me today.

Sometimes you hear it as:

I feel pretty,
Oh, so pretty,
I feel pretty, and witty and bright,
And I pity
Any girl who isn’t me tonight.

Thomas Nast was a vicious anti-Catholic.

Are there any other kind?

...and then there is that very stark fact that any “Saint” inclusive of “Saint Patrick” would not be celebrating their life choices.

What did st Patrick have to do w lesbian rights recognition?

ANYTHING to get to prance around and show the deluded the ‘normalcy’ of their chosen lifestyle.
et your post.

I said nothing about normalcy or prancing.

you must be addressing someone else.

To end this here and now, lest I get kidnapped into a week long illogical discussion, the Catechism states what I post below. THe references are numbered, and I post the descriptions below that.

THey are biblical references.

Any problem you have with the Catholic church, in reference to this thread can be taken up with those in charge of the event referred to in the title of the article heading this thread, St Patrick Day. It is a Catholic Holiday, honoring a catholic figure.

You can go to 49th St and Fifth avenue in Manhattan on st Patricks Day, and discuss it with Cardinal Dolan and tell HIM his life is misguided inside the Cathedral of St Patrick whose builders and patrons built it in order for them and us, their progeny, to better practice their faith, tell him they wasted their time and money.

Weird

Chastity and homosexuality

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,141 tradition has always declared that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.”142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

Your level of understanding about this great saint is a childrens story.

so, as you assert your venomous ideas about the faith on this thread about a saint, as in the title of the article of the thread, I hope readers will consider that, so I don’t have to set the record straight for another three days.

It’s Saint Patrick. Catholic.

Irrelevant until you establish Rome's authority. Thus you need to answer the questions asked.

Ask Cardinal Dolan. He’ll be at the NYC Parade.

I am not above him in Catholic hierarchy nor in theological studies.

Take it up with him.

Or go to boston and take it up with the Catholic Church there. They are the ones heading up the parade in question in the article that leads the discussion on this thread.

No problem.

I suspect it will be quite cool that day in Boston. Just ensure that anyone who violates the rules gets thoroughly soaked in liquid of some kind. Reapply as necessary.

They will depart to avoid hypothermia.

You lose the argument at ‘58% of Catholics...’ As much as those would agree with you, Catholicism is by its foundation simply not a democratic organization given to mob rule and cultural mood It’s founding, instructional document, states a very brief, certain, biblical rule on homosexuality.

It is you who have no real argument, as regardless of what Rome officially states, Scripture teaches that it is what we do that manifests what we really believe - "I will shew thee my faith by my works." (Ja. 2:18)

And what Rome does is treat even prohomosexual public figures as members in life and in death, as Teddy K. And in so doing she interprets canon law and other statements about the status of such. And as i have also told others, unlike us you cannot separate yourself from those Rome counts and treats as members, unless you want to be in a sect or in schism. That is your church and they are your brethren and you must own them.

Not on FR.

But there are sincere anti-Catholics of good will. Scott Hahn describes himself as an anti-Catholic, before the Scriptures convinced him that the Catholic Church is the Church founded by Christ.
