Michelle Obama vows to help ‘confused and bewildered’ moms shop for groceries

First lady Michelle Obama has vowed to help “confused and bewildered” moms wandering aimlessly in the aisles of America’s grocery stores.

The help won’t come in lower prices, but in redesigned nutrition labels that will bold calories and “added sugar” and will more accurately describe serving sizes, according to CNS News.

“As consumers and as parents, we have a right to understand what’s in the food we’re feeding our families,” Obama said Thursday in a press conference at the White House. “Because that’s really the only way that we can make informed choices — by having clear, accurate information.”

Fresh off declaring that “young people are knuckleheads” when it comes to signing up for healthcare, the first lady seems to think moms are equally inept at shopping.

“So there you stood, alone in some aisle in a store, the clock ticking away at the precious little time remaining to complete your weekly grocery shopping, and all you could do was scratch your head, confused and bewildered, and wonder, is there too much sugar in this product?” she said.

Saying hapless moms want to do the right thing, Obama suggested many give up in defeat because they can’t decipher current nutritional labels without “a thesaurus, a calculator, a microscope or a degree in nutrition.”

“This stream of questions and worries running through your head when all you really wanted to know was, should I be eating this or not?” she said, according to CNS News. “Is this good for my kids or not? And if it is healthy, how much of it should I be eating?”

Thankfully, we have big government to help us make such difficult decisions.

“I would wager it’s been over 10 or 15 years since
Michele has been grocery shopping for her family.”

Most probably.
I can’t stand that big, wide, loud, brazen woman.
She always reminds me of a fishwife (vulgar, abusive and nagging woman with a loud, unpleasant voice), no matter what high fashion dress she wears.

well since most of the people who listen to her can’t read labels, she might just help them out.

Obama suggested many give up in defeat because they can't figure out how to use can openers. "Did you know they don't even come with instructions!" she exclaimed.

Just imagine what voters go through every election. Trying to sort out the genuine record/history/positions of the candidates, the genuine backers of the candidates, the genuine motives of the opposition, et al...

It makes going to the grocery store a cake walk.

Leftists always think people are idiots who need government to do the most simple tasks for them

There are choices in life (like “what am I gonna fix for differ”) and there are DECISIONS (like “who I am going to let run the government for the next 4-6 years”).

The latter is deliberately made difficult with misinformation. Best to listen to party propaganda, war on women, war on minorities, war on the middle class/poor, rhetoric and “who the cool kids” are voting for than to actually make an informed decision.

Michelle doesn’t mind the voting public being knuckleheads and merely following marching orders.

We sure do. So let’s start with disclosing all the things IN food that is NOT food, but are poisons. This way, it’s CLEAR, and we can be “better informed” as to what we would NOW be choosing from that made an ACTUAL difference.

She doesn’t necessarily think mothers don’t understand how to read nutrition labels. I believe this is just another baby step toward their getting more control over our lives. Their ultimate objective is to be able to require others to eat what they say we should eat.
