House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said that he wants to get amnesty legislation done this year even as he insisted that the immigration reform he and President Barack Obama discussed in their White House meeting was not "amnesty."
Boehner recently said that he and Obama agreed the most on immigration during their recent one-on-one meeting and both want legislation this year, which amnesty advocates believe may be the last chance to pass significant immigration reform. Obama said he would not sign a bill that does not have a pathway to citizenship in it or that creates two classes of people in the United States. “He wants to get it done. I want to get it done,” Boehner told Cincinnati.com on Monday. “But he’s going to have to help us in this process.”
After the House GOP leadership released its immigration principles document, those like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted it as amnesty, halting any momentum it may have had. GOP leaders in both chambers then said that they would not go forward with immigration reform until President Barack Obama convinced them that he could be trusted to enforce any new laws. Boehner's comments may give more credence to the belief that that was just a head fake to secure the potential votes of Republicans on the fence.
Boehner also said that providing illegal immigrants a pathway to citizenship, which the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of American workers, is not amnesty.
“Some want to call it amnesty,” Boehner said. “I reject that premise... If you come in and plead guilty and pay a fine, that’s not amnesty.”

WHY? I still have not seen anyone articulate why this is such an important matter to either Dims or Republirats and our Nation. Most USA citizens don't want it or don't even care. They want JOBS and prosperity! Or in many cases, they want more welfare, or what ever they call handouts nowadays.
I wasn’t very excited when the tea party won in 2010 because I thought the rinos would run over them. And I was discouraged when Boner was selected as speaker.
Now they say “We won’t pass a bill unless the president promises to enforce it.” Talk about admitting they have no power! I guess they believe they’ll just PRETEND to do their jobs.
I agree. The republicans are frauds. Even Stockman is saying “Vote republican in November!” He might as well be saying “Vote for Cornyn!”
Dan Patrick supported Dewhurst over Cruz. Then when he saw Dewhurst was beatable, he decided to run against him for Lt. Governor. But he still constantly advises people to vote for the incumbent. A total fraud.
Deport Boehner
Boner is a “want-a-be” life long office holder.
Can you imagine where we would be today if Boner and the rinos hadn’t been given the majority in 2010? It’s possible the people would have so fed up with the democrats by then that they’d have elected anyone but Obama.
Then people in Ohio should just vote for the Dem otherwise you will never change anything.
After the election the Tea Party Congressmen should change their affiliation to something else which would deny the GOPe majority status, learn to fight or get out because the commie-dems are ruthless.
Voting for RINOs is the same as voting for any other Tyrant.

I know too many people who came to this country the old fashioned legal way with all the red tape.
It is not fair to them. Also, they all learned to speak English and assimilated in and didn’t form little ethnic American hating conclaves.
If they can’t speak English and are here illegally, then they have no chance at an economically viable future without handouts, so send them packing.

Boehner knows he is history insofar as his speakership is concerned and has already bought his condo in Florida to go to to work on his tan and F congress!
Ten million in a Swiss account for getting cheap labor (amnesty) through Congress would really make the old retirement days a lot more happy and keep the good woman happy and all that.
The sob has been bought off. It’s clear as a bell. At this point he is far more a democrat than a republican.
I was hoping to see the any Republican is better than a Democrat here, but no doubt won’t. The GOP is so filled with quisling’s and judases, who are more than ready to do the Democrats’ bidding.
Somebody please prosecute Boehner for treason.
