CINCINNATI -- Fans of Chipotle may soon have to say goodbye to their beloved guacamole, the company said in its latest annual report.

The Mexican fast food chain announced in recent Securities and Exchange Commission filings it could temporarily suspend sales of guacamole and some salsas due to an increase in food costs.

Those increases are being caused by global warming, the Denver-based chain said.

This is completely due to California refusing to increase the watershed. A few years back farmers started stumping Avocado trees. I remember this because I about cried when they did it. The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California has had these farmer’s Avocados in a vise for many years. They have diverted the water from agriculture to the cities and also jacked up the agriculture water prices. But, Hey, California needs a bullet train more than new watershed.

Here’s an old article on Rolling Stumping

Chipotle prides itself on progressive policies such as buying locally, supporting sustainability, going green generally. It figures they would try to use global warming as a tool to justify dropping a product that must be getting too expensive for their clientele.

Seriously, can anyone tell me the source of earth’s atmospheric temperature date that have so many people absolutely convinced that we are experiencing a major and worsening warming phenomenon?
A whole heap of mathematical models (73) show this, but all of them are utterly negated by a few actual instrumental temperature measurements. See

Also Google “Climate Models Produce Too Much Tropical Atmospheric Warming During 1979-2012 .

The enzymes, maybe, some have it. I am the boy in the bubble when it comes to that stuff. There is no headache like a three day one induced by a big dose of it. I know all the synonyms for it

But, no, I am wrong, I’m not seeing MSG. I think I’m going to give it a shot, actually

If you do, enjoy!

There used to be this restaurant in Tulsa which served really good Mexican food including Guacamole. It was a huge place with a waterfall and lots of other cool decorations

The last time I was in Tulsa I was going to eat there but my Daughter told me it was closed. It was called “Casa Bonita” I think.

From what I hear, avocados are being used to feed starving populations in Africa. If the people can't afford a complete diet, they could survive on an avocado per day.

Communities are being taught to plant and cultivate avocado trees as a new source of staple food sustenance.

One would think that Chipotle would want to be a part of that.

Soap. Exactly. “They” say 50% of people do not find cilantro appealing.

“They” also say that 50% of men think that Flo from the Progressive Insurance commercials is hot.

Soap. Hot.

Could.

Not would.

Not did.

You’re dealing with Lefists here. There’s no more hard-core capitalists in the Galaxy than a Leftist. So they’re lying to help out Apple and ManBearPig, but not actually doing the dirty, because they know what will happen to their sales without guacamole.

Hey, you think they’re going to take a hit on charging nine bucks for a salad rolled up in a tortilla?

Before satellites, the data came from thermometers in hot parking lots, or on rooftops near the exhaust from air conditioners, etc., usually in places that were pastures when the thermometers were placed.

Now we have satellite temperature data for the whole globe—data that are ignored by the hoaxers.

The earth has cooled .36°F since 1997.

The actual report used for the article made some giant assumptions that sound very nonscientific -

The impacts are based on the assumption that farmers do not move to other locations with more favorable climates,” Lobell said. “With long-lived perennial plants, moving to another region within California is somewhat limited.”

The research did not include the effects of an increase in CO2 in the atmosphere or farming modifications due to increasing temperatures and less rainfall.

However, the models did take into account for a variety of mechanisms that can influence yields in a changing climate, such as plant physiological processes, climate-related influence of pests, pathogens and air pollution.

http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2006-12/dlnl-ric120406.php

But, heck, they got the results they were paid for. What a waste of govt. research money!

Around here (Boston), Chipotle has a $1.95 up charge on guacamole. This has the effect of boosting a Chicken Bowl to a plutocratic $8.99.

Of course, if you don't like Chipotle, there's always Qdoba. They just opened a new shop across from the Burlington Mall.

What idiots. I’ve never been a big fan of their pseudo Mexican food anyway. There are a lot better Mexican fast food places in my area.

I pass one of these places every day. Never even looked in the window

What you would see is a long long line. I can’t stand the place, but they always have an extremely long line. I had to get a few bowls for the family a while back and stood in line for 40 minutes before getting to the food to chose. It was crazy.

That’s why we use the app. You can get your rice without cilantro that way, too- write it in the notes and they’ll pull your rice out before they mix the cilantro in.
