Obama's Organizing For Action Asks Members 'What Should Mininum Wage Be?'
NewsBusters ^

$10 an hour? $20? Let's make everyone rich and call it an even $100!

As a proud member of the email list of Organizing For America, the successor organization to the Obama campaign, I just received a message, next to a big photo of the President, stating "Our minimum wage is at a historic low, and millions of full-time workers are struggling just to get by." The message then invites recipients to fill in a blank answering this question: "What do you think the minimum wage should be?"

More after the jump.

How about a buck two ninety-eight.

~Because all of this is nonsensical.

I certainly would want the fate of the American economy to be decided by members of Obama’s campaign organization, wouldn’t you? Ping to Today show list.

LOL! Yup. I got this yesterday and told them about $4.00 ought to do it. I also asked them, in a return email, when the newly minted 1,700 mindless zombies would unleashed on the streets to tout progressivism. No response of course.

Maybe it would be better to ask them what they’d like to pay for a burger and fries?

We should all pick our own. To each according to his needs etc. Like if you’re fat and eat 12 Big Macs a day, you’ll need a wage to pay for those Macs. If you’re skinny then you need a wage to take care of your Arugula bill.

If you’re black you’ll need more because of racism. If you’re white you’ll need less because of the possibility of being unknowingly invited to play a round of the “knockout game”. And it’s your fault because you’re white.

I realize this is all absolute nonsense but I’m trying to think like a liberal.

Why does this issue resonate with so many people who earn more than the minimum wage anyway?

The clueless just LOVE government mandates on employers.

“What do you think the minimum wage should be?”

A Million an hour! That way we can all be millionaires, LOL, no more poor people!

Of coarse a loaf of bread will cost two million, and no one will ever deposit money in a bank account again.

Why stop at $100? Make it a thousand. Better yet, a million! Let’s make everyone a millionaire!

Just think of all the revenue the government will get by making those filthy rich millionaires pay their fair share.

It obviously needs to e enough to get everyone into higher than the minimum income tax brackets. That would be about $25 to $30 per hour. Just think about how much revenue that would bring to Obama.

A family cannot live decently on less than 70k per yer without subsidies. So we should start at 35/hr. But wait, due to Obummercare, minimum wage jobs will only be part time for less than 30hrs per week. To make up for that the minimum wage should be $48.50 per hour. But now a minimum wage worker will make too much for Obummercare subsidies, therefore we need to add an additional amount, this will bring the reasonable and fair minimum wage to $60/hour.

Therefore the answer is $60/hour for the minimum wage. /s

How about $20! I could double my income! Snort.

I can promise that my hours would be cut again, and that is IF I can hold onto my job! I can barely pay my bills now. I’ll be in deep trouble if this nut job succeeds.
