Poll Results: Just 11% of Black Youths Say Life Is Better For Them Under Obama…

These results from Rasmussen poll done March 2-3 have got to be disconcerting for Obama. Obama’s voter base is unhappy with their life under Obama. President Obama is going to have to do a whole lot more than promise to make things better for young blacks under his new “My Brother’s Keeper” initiative, because 71 percent of voters in a new poll say life for the group is the same or worse than before he came into office.

Rasmussen Reports reveals that just 16 percent of likely voters believe life for young blacks has improved since Obama’s 2008 election, while 22 percent say it has gotten worse. Some 49 percent said nothing has changed. Among blacks, some of the results are worse, with just 11 percent believing life has gotten better for African American youths over the past five years. On the slightly positive side, only 8 percent believe it has gotten worse. The poll puts the spotlight on dissatisfaction among some in the African American community that the nation’s first black president hasn’t focused enough on issues important to them. It also raises the bar for Obama’s new initiative, which he plans to make a hallmark of his eventual retirement.

While both whites and blacks had hoped Obama’s election would improve race relations and the status of African Americans, the poll finds that didn’t happen. For example, just 10 percent of all voters felt race relations has improved since Obama’s election, said Rasmussen in a related poll. The new poll asked voters about Obama’s new program and 39 percent said it is at least somewhat likely that the new $200 million initiative would improve life for young blacks. A larger 49 percent “view it as unlikely that the My Brother’s Keeper initiative will improve life for young blacks, with 24 percent who say it’s ‘Not At All Likely’,” said Rasmussen.

The survey of 1,000 likely voters was conducted on March 2-3, 2014 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence.

The good news for Obama is the media will continue to run defense for him so that people don’t connect the dots back to Obama.

Unfortunately (for us) I don’t think he gives a damn what anyone thinks of him, except maybe what his Hollywood and music friends think of him.

Nor do I think he gives a hoot whether black youth are helped or hurt by him. He is all about himself and while I know the black community thought he would help them, he’s done more damage than anyone I can think of.

Gosh, they were disappointed that a racist, race-baiting, nearly half black jackass from Kenya would improve interracial relations. Thanks Impala64ssa.

For Black young men life may well have been better under President Jefferson Davis.

"Obama is going to have to do a whole lot more than promise to make things better for young blacks under his new “My Brother’s Keeper” initiative, because 71 percent of voters in a new poll say life for the group is the same or worse than before he came into office."

Promises are all he's got. After five years in office, economic conditions would have improved for his little 'brothers' if his policies had promoted real growth and prosperity. By this time, there shouldn't have been any need for a presidential 'initiative' to change their fortunes.

But seeing how conditions are now worse for black youth than before he was elected, he's sort of got no choice but to answer them some kind of way. I guess a government program or 'initiative' is the best the moron Democrat can manage, given his socio-economic grounding.

Make the productive class pay for it anyway he can. It's all he knows.

He can't be bothered to encourage young blacks to learn to speak the language, and work hard in school to build the skills necessary to achieve the kind of economic and financial freedom he wants to mandate out of thin air.

What a complete failure this guy is.

I think he cares, but he's been under the illusion that Socialism is the answer, for his entire adult life. Only now that he's the President, does he finally realize that everything he knows is a gigantic LIE.

African-American voter turnout in the recent Texas primary was absolutely terrible. They will certainly not vote Republican....but they are not voting for Obama & his Obamabots, simply by staying home and not voting at all.

What they need to do is come out and vote to defeat the entire CBC & NAACP candidates. These low life Obamabot dregs are their worst enemies and are keeping them chained in Obama economic slavery!!!

Hispanics have gone sour on Obama as proven in the Texas primary....when they totally voted against Wendy Davis!!! A sea change is now a work in progress. A large number of African-Americans are really ticked off at Barack Hussein Obama!!!

Time has come for American Blacks to join with the rest of the country in working for a vibrant equal opportunity, growing economy with good paying jobs, hard work and success. Raising the minimum wage, etc. ain’t gonna do one thing to make for good jobs, only good education, hard work and individual determination is the ticket. Get rid of these CBC & NAACP characters....they are poison for you and your families!!!

Obama doesn’t deserve any credit, but opportunities for free shopping, better known looting, have diminished.

Ten percent of voters polled said they thought race relations are better??? Are the 10% the people polled in Washington and Colorado? It seems like they are smoking something LEGAL in those two states.

They count on the populace being

a) gullible enough to fall for any campaign promise that gets them elected
b) too easily distracted so they forget them
c) too dumb to know the difference.
