With less than a month left to sign up for private insurance under the federal health care law, California's enrollment numbers are closing in on the magic number of 1 million as 8,000 people sign up every day.

15% is a surprising small proportion actually.

I would imagine that if you looked in the mirror, you’d see someone who’s paying for the the majority of those whose premiums are current.

True, if what you’re saying is that mostly heavily subsidized people enrolled and paid their premiums. But regarding the mirror, no, I haven’t paid federal tax in many years.

I’d be willing to bet that ‘enrolled’ counts a huge number of expanded medicare sign-ups.

Expanded Medicaid doesn’t involve premiums, and the excerpt talks about private insurance, so I’m not sure about that.

I’d love to know what percentage of the people who’ve signed up are employees of the DNC, various unions and state gummint or are typical democrat voters residing in cemeteries.

As I said a few posts back, Medicaid/Medi-Cal recipients don’t pay any premiums at all. It would be unbelievably stupid, even for a California paper, to include them in the calculation.
