Funny how the First and Second Amendments complement each other.
If anybody tries “kicking down my door”, they are likely to get killed. How is that a “threat”? It’s simply a statement of fact.
"Bless his heart"
<spit>
Agreed.
” I applaud the efforts of patriots like John Cinque and others who have drawn a line in the sand, and unlike a certain occupant of the White House, don’t blink when the line is crossed.”
OH SNAP
“.. has been placed on 24-hour guard due to threats on his life.”
In other words someone looked at him funny. All this gets him is paid time off to polish his jackboots.
He hasn’t been fired? No one with this sort of attitude should be policing the public.
Apology is not enough.
My answer would have been: Unless you can provide evidence that you, in your capacity as a chief of police, formally and publically OPPOSED the passage of Connecticut's new unconstitutional gun laws PRIOR to their illegal adoption, then there is NOTHING I can or will do to help you.
“How can you help us with this?”
Uh, you idiots got yourselves into it, get your own darn selves out.
Ta-ta...LOL.
Failing that, sooner or later, he will take someone's life.
He should surrender his badge and gun.
Today.
The Police can’t fix what the CT legislature broke.
What they CAN do, is make a clear statement that their responsibility to uphold the Constitution trumps the legislature’s UNconstitutional actions.
And therefore, they will NOT participate in any gun confiscation, intended by such a law.
I wonder how often the Branford, CT police department provides 24 hour guards for ‘regular’ people who have received death threats.
It seems to me a tough, highly trained police officer would be much better able to take care of himself following a few threats than, say, a battered wife whose psychotic spouse and his psychotic family have vowed to kill her.
But it’s a safe bet the Branford, CT police department would not provide 24 hour guard for such a woman.
Resist bad law. Resist penalties for resisting bad law.
This dirtbag (My apology to dirt & bags out there) needs to just tough it out.
Just imagine what would have happened had Joe/Jane Public made the same comments in a reversed role???
They would at Minimum arrested and charged with “threatening of police office” more likely they would have been “swatted”.
I say NO APOLOGY IS GOOD ENOUGH!!!
This shows what real cowards the cops are when you take away the badge and all the neat tactical toys.
Even worse - paid time off so that he and a couple of his buddies (aka “body guards”) can goof off, play cards, drink beer and polish their jackboots.
The only way to effect change, and leftists use this tool well, is to sue and to get people fired and marginalized. This town and state needs not to stop until one or both are done.
Nothing like a loss of money or job to have organizations change behaviors. Apologies mean NOTHING. Legally or morally, they are just window dressing.
