So the GOP is going to stop selling out to the moderates?

The GOP is going to advocate for American jobs?

The GOP is going to fight for America?

Or more of the same. Because that is the deal. Fix our country, or more of the same.

It is not complicated.

We're proposing to have fewer than 10, and this time around, we're going to pick the moderators

He really put himself out there with this statement - let's see what the excuses are when we still have Candy Crowley and the rest of the Praetorian Guard moderating the debates.

“Priebus said...”

I am so very reassured by THAT.

Priebus said shortening the primary process by moving up the national convention at which the nominee is typically selected to June and cutting the number of debates are "not an establishment takeover. This is using your brain. Everything's not a conspiracy."

Without some elaboration this sounds hysterical.

Dumping Reince would also be part of the reform. Not one dimes worth of difference.

With less than half the debates of last time, and with the convention a couple months earlier, I’m not complaining.

Although even more drastic changes need to be made, I’ll see where this goes.

I was hoping by now Prince Reibus would have been fired. As much as I thought Michael Steele was a failure, Prince Reibus is far worse and not even a glimmer of conservatism running through his veins. At least Michael Steele was touted as conservative before he was head of RNC even though he became a laughing stock of going on tv shows and trying to be hip by getting jiggy wit it and using other played out 80s pop culture phrases to make him seem hip with the yutes.

“calling the GOP’s current primary process “a complete disaster.”

Two needed changes for presidential primaries:

1. Have the debates during the primary season only with conservative panels (and for the presidential general election debates, require at least half of the questioners on the panel be conservatives).

2. As another Freeper suggested recently, rotate the earliest primaries and caucuses, with the states having voted for the Republican candidate in the previous presidential election having a preference.

I’m really tired of New Hampshire and Iowa going first every year and having some resident of one of those states whining on TV that so-and-so candidates had coffee with us at our home four years ago to ask for our vote but this year we haven’t even had one candidate show up at our sewing bee pancake breakfast.

"I think a traveling circus of debates is insanity in this party," Priebus told about 200 delegates. "We're proposing to have fewer than 10, and this time around, we're going to pick the moderators."

Though Priebus is at best a weasel, he is right about the debate schedule...

27 debates are WAY too many...people and candidates get burned out and it gives the dims lots of political ammo...

Picking out own moderators is simply a no brainer...one would think that decision should have been two POTUS election cycles ago...

They aren't called the stupid party for nothing...

Can someone please tell me...
“Who” is it that determines if a primary is “open” or “closed”?
Is it the state legislature, or the state party, or who?

Thanks in advance.

Allow me translate.

“We will fix the process to eliminate any but our chosen at the earliest opportunity so that our edicts will go unchallenged.

“We will select moderators that help us further smear conservatives by the wording of their questions. We are looking at Bill O’reily at the moment. Note this for later.

“We are changing all these details because our corporate donord demand that we liberalize and so our changes will reflect diversity including abortion, homosexuality, reperations and open borders. No, we won’t just dump it on you, don’t worry. We will continue doing exactly what we have been all along, changing not a damn thing, telling you it’s new and watching in hysterical laughter as you do our dirty work and attack any who aren’t complete useful idiots.”

Thanks,
Your pals at the GOP

Hey Prince Reebus ...

How about that “electoral disfunction” Bob Dole?

How about “renegade” John McCane?

How about “Romneycare” “Mitt” Romney?

looks like TPTB are pushing you towards a Jeb loss, since butterball Christie was outed.

Go left, young man.

Duh.

Shortening the primaries is a Romney tactic to
strengthen NH and other DNC-Romney-run states.

The GOP will continue to mean RomneyCARE,
ObamaCARE, open borders, arming al Qaeda,
and enabling Obama’s treason.

The best change, and the only one with a realistic chance to save the GOP, is conservatism.
