I realized it was old—but I hadn’t seen anything about it, had you?

The path to destruction of our freedoms is littered with signposts that are missed, sometimes because of the overload of information and sometimes because of deliberate policy by the news media to treat these things as non-events or not newsworthy.

It is silly to blame kids.

We want them to be on their parents dole to age 26, yet we want them to vote at age 18.

No one under the age of legal drinking should vote. No one who doesnt own property or work in the military should vote. No one who is on food stamps or welfare should vote.

We set the rules, and we are to blame for the outcome.

Any parent who allows their child to go to school which the government is running, which includes all schools who accept government loan money, is responsible for this mess.

Kids of the age of 16 are making decisions about college.

Parents who refuse to counsel wisely are responsible for this mess.

And those who hate and blame kids are going to be the recipients for a lot of hate and blame from the same kids who, when they are in their fifties, have to pay for their parents’ retirement situation. If the money isn’t there, it will be because we allowed our government to spend it and waste it. We are overseeing the deficit enlarge to $20 trillion. It is now $18 trillion unchecked. of course it will be at least $20 trillion by the time BO is done.

that’s not our kids’ fault. That’s wimpy republicans. they can’t even blame Obama, they know what he is. Better than we do, they know who he is. THe ONLY one who is trying to protect our kids is the same person who read a kids book from the senate floor.

It is up to them, the ones who work for us, not the kids, to do something about this.

Every parent who is, as it is their job, informed about college, knows that they are allowing their kids to become indebted to the government in college, is responsible for this.

A lot of good it’ll do parents to continue hating kids and blaming them when the country is a disaster in 20 years, when these whiners need these kids, who will be 40, to support their retirement.

Make it stop!

SERIOUSLY? I’m afraid there would be bloodshed (not mine) should that ever happen. (Jail time for me but it would definitely send a message back).

SWAT team LOVE ANY excuse to exercise their power.

It’s like shouting “squirrel” to your dog.

the student loan industry was private,

Just a little history.

First they were National Defense student loans in the 60’s.

Then they were National Direct Student Loans in the 70’s.

Then they were private and now they are back to the govt.

Loans are not just in the hands of the government.

Student loans are now, as of a couple of Obama years ago, in the hands of the department of education.

There is a serious conflict of interest going on here.

So there are well over a million unpaid student loans. Why go all Elliot Ness over this one?

They have his voting records and political affiliations - he not a commie in good standing.

It would be nice before posting old article to check for updates ....

This was not a simple ‘unpaid student loan’ issue.

http://www.justice.gov/usao/cae/news/docs/2014/2014_02/02-06-14WrightWilder.html

Convictions and prison ...

fraud, identity theft

Come on. Play the card. He's black, so it has to be racism. Everone knows that the powers in Washington (Holder and Obama) hate blacks. You don't think they'd do this to a white Republican like them, do you. /s

Why in hell do we allow a student loan guarantee agency to have a SWAT team ????????????????????? Who ( other than a dictator ) would even think of such a thing ? Only criminal gangs like the Chicago mafia had such collection methods for overdue loan funds. And they had a code of honor to at least give you warnings before taking “adverse action” against you, too Does your local water department have a SWAT team yet ? Coming soon, SWAT teams for your cable tv, too. ........(....well, At least we won’t need so many courts. Judges. Lawyers. So the “thugification” of collecting overdue accounts does have some positive elements , ha. )

This was not an overdue loan. It was fraud and identity theft. Convicted and now spending time in jail.
