You know Fred Phelps. You loathe Fred Phelps. You despise everything he stands for, like his family members’ infamous protests at soldiers’ funerals with their awful “God Hates Fags” signs. They’ve been a symbol for many years of the religion-based animosity against the LGBT community — to the point that they’ve been labeled a “hate group” and even the most fundamentalist Christian groups denounce his church’s activities....

Tonight, on Facebook, Nate (one of Fred's sons, excommunicated from the church) posted this:
I’ve learned that my father, Fred Phelps, Sr., pastor of the “God Hates Fags” Westboro Baptist Church, was ex-communicated from the “church” back in August of 2013. He is now on the edge of death at Midland Hospice house in Topeka, Kansas. I’m not sure how I feel about this. Terribly ironic that his devotion to his god ends this way. Destroyed by the monster he made. I feel sad for all the hurt he’s caused so many. I feel sad for those who will lose the grandfather and father they loved. And I’m bitterly angry that my family is blocking the family members who left from seeing him, and saying their good-byes.

Westboro Baptist is not a church, nor are any of its followers Christians. The church label is just part of the scam. They are a liberal hate group who call themselves a church for the tax relief and as a means of attacking Christians whom they despise.
They are phonies and everything that they do is phony.

Phelps may have been excommunicated because he would not admit that Alzheimers had rendered him largely ineffective. As bull headed as he probably was, he, or those directly under his influence, still demanded to be treated as though he was still healthy and in control of his behavior. What I don’t get it why the son says it is ‘ironic’ that Phelps should be dying in this way. I don’t see any irony, unless some Hospice Attendants just so happen to be rainbow wearing “out” gay people. In a recent photo of Fred Phelps, I see that he looks a lot like Ted Turner, another unstable meglomaniac.
From my understanding of Romans 12:19 it’s against G-d, not your common citizen. I read stuff about Maher and Ed Shultz and Chrissie “Tingle” Matthews for entertainment only. I was sorry to learn that Piers Morgan was leaving because he was such a dolt he was hilarious. The Liberal Left have to keep these guys on the air for the sake of joyous entertainment.

Your link said “intends to.” It doesn’t say they did. I searched but all I found was “plans to, intends to, etc...” I wonder if they got a pay-off and backed off. That’s their “M.O.”
