Christians in the U.S. military are being told they must forfeit their First Amendment rights. Bible verses are being erased from cadets’ personal dorm-room white boards, and military lawyers claim that legal protections for religion only pertain to matters such as clothing and growing beards but do not extend to any religious expression such as talking about one's faith or posting a Bible verse.

Last year Breitbart News broke the story of a campaign by anti-Christian extremists to suppress traditional Christian expression within the U.S. military. There were conflicting stories regarding the possible court martial of service members who share the gospel of Jesus Christ and confirmed reports of military chaplains being officially censored, as well as Bibles temporarily banned from the Walter Reed military hospital.

After these stories went viral on the Internet, Republicans in Congress launched an investigation, then introduced legislation to specify that religious expression is a protected right for men and women serving in uniform. Although President Obama originally threatened to veto the legislation, those protections were signed into law in December 2013.

Now these new protections are being put to their first test. Military officers at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs are saying that the Obama-Hagel Pentagon does not regard these new protections as encompassing religious speech or writing. As such, cadets are not allowed to post Bible verses on their personal white boards in their dorm rooms.

Yes he did sir. I have two questions. Do you believe him, and when was the last time he told the truth about anything?

There is no solution.

The fed government is not for the people. The fed government is for itself. It is an entity unto its own and feeds upon the people for its existence. Its only purpose is to exist. It will do anything and everything to exist. In order to exist, it needs to grow. It needs to grow, because to be stagnet means that something else may be growing in its place. Therefore, it grows, as a creature unto itself, without any purpose except to grow. The fed is a creature that is no longer recognizable. It is hideous and ugly, snapping, snarling, mean, and nasty.

In order to grow, it needs to feed upon the people. It eats out the livelihood of the people to grow. It will eat out the people until the people are no more.

This is the fed.

The state is something else. Some states care about its people, some don’t. Some states are pair bonding at the hip to the feds and will suck off the people with the feds. And will try to grow like the feds. Some states realize what is happening and do what they can to protect its people and remove the ravenous fed creature from feeding off its people.

There is no hope for the fed to be reformed. It is rabid. States need to protect its people from this hideous deformity. Good Luck!

we have a poor economy for red blooded American boys.....the service has been an option in the past and it will continue to be an option, sadly....

even now, I'll bet most of us know someone from supposedly conservative patriotic families joining the military...they do it for the money, for the benefits, for the chance to get away from home, and because there is no steel plant to work in nor farm or ranch to work on.....

economics trumps everything in the final analysis....the new military will most assuredly fire on American citizens just like in other dictatorships...

You are indeed correct in what you say.

The most frightening thing to me is that the very beast that is consuming our freedom was also created by the very document that defines our freedom and from Whom it came.

It in a way shows that even when man succeeds, he fails.

We were doomed from Day 1, because our founding document created government, and government relies upon man, and man is corrupt, therefore government is corrupt.

It seems to me that if what I have said is true, and I do believe that it is, all societies are doomed to fail.

The Air Force Academy removed a Bible verse posted on a cadet's whiteboard after it determined the posting had offended other cadets, a spokesman for the academy said.

The cadet wrote the passage on the whiteboard posted outside his room. "I have been crucified with Christ therefore I no longer live, but Christ lives in me," the verse from Galatians read.

Mikey Weinstein, director of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, told me 29 cadets and four faculty and staff members contacted his organization to complain about the Christian passage.

Some Air Force Cadets So Angry Over What Happened With Bible Verses on Campus They Have Staged a ‘Revolt’

The leader of a church-state separatist group says that there’s a “revolt” underway at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., after officials there removed a Bible verse from a white board outside a cadet’s bedroom door following complaints that its presence was offensive.

Cadets angry over the Air Force Academy’s removal of the verse have since begun posting scripture from the Bible and the Koran on their whiteboards in solidarity, said Mikey Weinstein, president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.

“The Air Force Academy has a revolt on their hands. What are they going to do?” Weinstein told TheBlaze Wednesday.
