St Patrick's Day: Guinness drops parade sponsorship over gay rights
The Telegraph ^ | 3/17/2014

Guinness has dropped its sponsorship of New York's St Patrick's Day march after organisers refused to allow groups marching in the parade carrying pro-gay signs.

The beer-maker announced its descision after gay groups threatened to dump its product from the shelves of the Stonewall Inn, the birthplace of the gay rights movement. Guinness is not alone in boycotting the annual event. Other beer companies joined the boycotts earlier, with Sam Adams withdrawing its sponsorship of Boston's parade and Heineken following suit in New York.

New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio will become the first mayor in decades to sit out the traditional march on Monday and Boston Mayor Martin Walsh didn't march in his city's parade on Sunday, either, after talks broke down that would have allowed a gay group to march.

The only reason anyone needs these sponsorships is to pay for licensing and permits.

I say they should go rogue and have a parade without them.

Murphy’s loves the fags as well.

They are owned by Heineken - who has also pulled out of the St. Patrick’s Parade so they can stand in solidarity with sodomites.

I will never touch the stuff.

Murphy’s and Beamish are both made by Heineken. Heineken has pulled out of the St. Patrick’s Parade to show their support for sodomites. So they are both good beers if you support homosexuals.

If half of the people are against your decision, and half are for it, but the half that are for it are the ones that will act on it, you side with them, assuming it is an amoral decision.

Otherwise, if you have integrity, you let your conscience decide and let the chips fall where they may.

Actually it sounds like the parade made a reasonable compromise and they had a hissy fit.

It would be great if they weren’t owned by another homosexual-loving corporation.

They are owned by SAB Miller - who owns Miller Brewing Company. The ones that support the Folsom Street fair -

Everyone is free to spend their money how they choose. I choose not to spend it on any corporation that supports sodomites.

Guinness is nothing more than leprechaun piss. Let’s hope Americans will tell Guinness to take their beer and shove it where the sun don’t shine.

Tooth's Sheaf Stout from Oz is superior in every way to Guinness.

Agreed, Guinness is a bit watery compared with Sheaf, which is one hearty Aussie brew.

Overnight, St. Patrick's day has been transformed into a statement for gay rights? Whoa...didn't see that coming.

If we are to read the signs to know the season, it looks like the great apostasy and rebellion are at near full strength.

Now is a very good time to answer that soft knock at the door before the clock runs down. When the buzzer sounds, everything changes...ready or not.

I hope all Knights of Columbus halls have dropped Sam Adams and Guinness from their bars.

“I hope all Knights of Columbus halls have dropped Sam Adams and Guinness from their bars.”

I imagine that will happen shortly after they remove pro abortion politicians from their membership ( and, in fairness to the k of c, that won’t happen until bishops start enforcing Canon 915... and I’m not holding my breath for that to happen any time soon)

Stella, sadly, is owned by Bud.
