Nuts.

Once the quota of men is filled, some guy should sue, on the grounds that he is being subjected to sex discrimination. He would lose.

But if a woman sued for the same reason, she would win.

How about a minimum number of Muslims in the legislature?

Something tells me that this is meant to keep white men from running.

How can a state prevent someone from running for an office just because there are more or less men or women already elected?

Don't people have the right to choose their own representatives, regardless of what the voters in other districts have already chosen?

How can they possibly say, "Sorry. You can't vote for Mr. X because there are already too many men in the legislature?

WTF? In Montana?

No kidding! Lots of flakes do go there for the isolation (like the Unabomber), but not that many!

So, now only women will be able to run for office state wide, or certain districts, or what? Basically people won’t be able to vote for their choice of representative anymore.

And government started growing in those states as soon as women got the vote. And the federal government started growing in 1919. (Not counting the explosion of government during Wilson’s war.

It would only be correct to require that an equal number of men, and women, vote.

We could solve that by giving them separate ballots and counting a man's vote as 1.1 x the value of a woman's vote . . . or whatever ratio was necessary to achieve full 50%/50% equilibrium.

So if a female candidate wins an election, but the quota for female candidates has been reached, then the female that the majority of voters voted for can’t be seated?

So the choice of the voters cannot be honored?

OK.

I believe those of us over six feet tall are underrepresented in congress. It’s time we started put in signs like those at amusement parks. You know; “you must be this tall to serve in congress”

I’m the only member of the Ralphistarian race in Montana, so I should get to have my own representative.

For heaven sake, lets just kill all straight men, and be done with it.. Talk about overrated, as a man of the world, American Liberal Women, in general, are a gang of whining, scheming, plastic covered, shrews..

They are just plain ugly, either in their personal appearance, and/or, their blackened souls.. Conservative men, don’t breed with them, and let them dry up, and die off.. I mean REALLY!

"WTF? In Montana?

Western Montana has been loony since it was settles by socialist Scandanaviqns, Scots, Irish, and English in the 1880s and 1890s. In 1919 there was a communist led strike in western Montana: "The miners strike in Butte (Montana) was led by a “council of soldiers, sailors and workers” in which almost all of Butte’s trade unions participated. As in Europe, “councils” or “soviets” were being formed at that time as organizations of all the workers, transcending trade union divisions, with a view to a long struggle, but not as insurrectionary organs." Source marxism.org....

Montana has a split personality however; eastern Montana is very conservative, probably due to the number of settlers from the post-civil war south and the harshness of life there.
