Boeing Source: Missing Plane in Pakistan

The Malaysian government reportedly is investigating the possibility that missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 avoided radar detection and landed in Pakistan near the Afghanistan border inside Taliban-controlled territory, according to the UK Independent . . . investigators confiscated a homemade flight simulator from the pilot’s home to see if it reveals any useful information . . . the Malaysian foreign minister told reporters that Malaysia asked several Asian countries for assistance in its investigation, including Pakistan . . . Pakistan dismissed the idea that a Boeing 777 could land undetected inside the country but promised to work with the Malaysian government in its search for the missing plane . . . a LIGNET analyst received information from a source at Boeing that the company believes the plane did land in Pakistan . . . Israel is taking the possibility of a terrorist attack seriously by mobilizing air defenses and scrutinizing approaching civilian aircraft, according to the Times of Israel . . . a Boeing 777 requires a lengthy, 7,500-foot runway, and Pakistan has many of them, meaning Flight 370 could conceivably be hidden in a hangar inside the country . . . U.S. surveillance of the area may be able to shed light on the theory through satellite imagery or signals intelligence.

Boy if they managed to get it on the ground and they can turn it around in a few days, it will be the crime of all time.

I know about Freescale. I also know one of their employees was deep sixed or committed suicide because of the Spying Chinese Telecom company that got kicked out of the US..who also had at least two people on that flight.

Yea, if he wanted to fly it into water, he could have done that right away.

If he wanted to fly it into his Gov’t or a building, he’d do that right away.

It’s somewhere..... Getting ready to be used in a SINISTER plot, imho.

That’s the whole problem with the crash into the ocean thing....Lack of debris field, even a single seat floatation devise, which are all serial numbered have not been found. Nothing....

Try and comprehend the vastness of the region to be searched.

It’s not commercial aviation. It doesn’t require re-use.

Ergo, a 777 could use JATO for a short take-off.

Yep...I initially refused to believe it was possible, or that someone could pull that off and go undetected.

Thinking of the families for a moment, I would imagine holding out hope has become a nightmare roller-coaster of emotion with every report/speculation/theory coming out..

Greysard, you have contributed two thoughtful and plausible posts to this thread, thank you very much. When news of 370's disappearance was first reported, I had three thoughts:
1. Somebody has this plane on the ground, intact.
2. This was a state sponsored operation.
3. An "extra" 777 is ideal delivery vehicle for an EMP at 35,000 feet.

I believe we are entering the most dangerous period since WWII, and the world is clearly and very quickly going to hell. While hoping I am wrong in this case, I expect the worst.

I am able to do that. It’s not too complex..

Been a long time now, and nothing...Some of that stuff in the aircraft will float for months/years BTW...

Israel is the target.

Max kill is the plan, not EMP.

Boeing does not comment on these matters, so this is bogus to me.

Yeah, but they could have crashed any time. He could have EgyptAir 990ed it right after he took control.

That is not takeoff distance. That is required runway length which includes margin of safety and braking after aborted takeoff..

They can takeoff in much shorter distances.

I am pretty sure the “find your phone” service uses the cel network. Pretty sparse coverage up in the Hindu Kush.
