RUSH: The New York Times. What is this, a tiny little paragraph? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10 lines. National Briefing, Midwest. It's page A14 of the New York Times today. Here's the headline: "Wisconsin: Assembly Passes Governor’s Tax-Cut Plan -- The Wisconsin Assembly has passed Gov. Scott Walker’s $504 million tax-cut plan. The chamber approved the bill on Tuesday by a vote of 61 to 35." It wasn't even close

Governor Scott Walker stood up to the public service union thugs and turned a big deficit into almost $1 billion surplus. Hope he runs in 2016!!!

Two points...

1 - Put the leftover half billion in the bank.

2 - The 35 that voted AGAINST the tax reduction? Broadcast their names far and wide. Make sure EVERYONE knows who they are.

Definitely my fav, but can we get him to WANT to run in 2016? He’s turned it down before.
Sigh. Dems would implode trying to put down Walker’s success record.

Lots of people want Ted Cruz.

I prefer Scott Walker: somebody who has experience as an executive, exercising leadership under fire, and prevailing against insane opposition during the Right to Work fight. Somebody with experience with making a budget balance.

good story DL....41 states and 25 cities which are nearing bacnkrupcy need to learn this lesson.

In most cases too many public employees, earning too much and promised too large of pensions are the problem causing the deficits [or daf-ficits as Rush is wont to say...ha]

Would Cruz, even Christie or Rand Paul have not signed this deal?

Would they have decided to side with union thugs if given the same situation?

I live in WI and I am a huge Walker supporter. But, as an everyday working stiff, I haven’t seen any decrease in my property taxes. yes, I know the school districts and everyone else has to get their pound of flesh, but nothing really has changed....and is hasn’t gone up so I credit him for that.

Wisconsin is a horrible state to do business in, regardless of the governor. there is a union mentality that runs deep in most workplaces, it is cultural and starts most families.

Just curious...

Are property taxes in WI a state or county tax?

If they are a county tax, could Walker do anything about it?

Walker initiated the fight, and didn’t back down even when they threatened him personally and mobbed the capitol. He survived a recall and is now running for his second term.

You may not have seen some of the videos, or kept up with the threads on what was going on in WI. It was not a question of “signing”, it was a question of holding the line with the Repubs, despite the walkouts, the protests, the dirty tricks, the court cases, the violence and threats of violence, and not despairing and not giving in until the job was done.

I love Ted Cruz, but I believe that S. Walker is a winner for a candidate for Pres. He has what it takes to lead. Cruz is a debate champion and a lawyer. He would make a great V.P. or Sec. of St. Head of HHS to repeal obamacare.

Are property taxes in WI a state or county tax?

They are a combination of a municipal, county, school, and Jr. College tax. But, the school districts gets a certain allowance from the state too. THe tate also collects an income tax.
