I’ll swap you two engineers for 30 terrorist. They need entitlements?
He is far from bright or intelligent.
There were plenty of Iranian students in the US when the Shah was deposed. They marched on Washington, and they remained vocal in the US even while Americans were being held hostage in their country. Plenty of terrorists have been educated in the US. The idea that familiarity ‘prevents’ contempt has been proved not to work.
Just like that Iranian grad student at Georgia Tech who burned himself to death while making Molotov cocktails.
Agreed. Iranians are very intelligent and very cunning. I knew one who was studying to become an engineer years back and he was brilliant. He was a good guy too, but a former soldier who had fought in the Iran-Iraq War and was on the run from the Iranian intelligence service for dereliction of duty after a VIP he was supposed to be guarding was assassinated while he was taking a smoke break.
Genius !
I thought we had these programs in effect for Iran and other enemy, or border-line enemy, nations for many years?? Universities are full of students from these countries. Many are sent to the school by Department of State, register, and then disappear, never appearing in class. Many are floating around the USA and State has no idea where they are. They, each and every, are a serious security risk to the USA.
Only if they all major in womyn’s studies. Absolutely no nuclear physics majors allowed.
and one way airline pilots.
I was at Laughlin AFB, TX when that happened. We had quite a few Iranian Air Force guys in pilot training at that time. When the Iranians took the hostages in 79, USAF took all of them out of pilot training. BTW, this was how I knew the Iranians would not be a factor in any future conflict. They could not fly airplanes, if their lives depended on it.
