Lets take a look at Lexington, Concord, Bunker Hill, ..., and the revolutionary war.

I would say that a declaration of independence is certainly calling for a finish to the status quo government.

I don't indulge "the fond hope of peace and reconciliation" at all. And I know Patrick Henry's Saint John's speech very well.

I know there is no longer any coexistence with the other side; they're following Marx and HIS definition of peace - "The absence of opposition to OUR goals."

They will keep pushing until they get what they want - either by force of law, or outright lethal coercion.

My point, over and over again, it seems, is that some people insist on offering nothing but complaining and whining about how "finished" we are, instead of offering viable solutions and actionable plans - and THAT does NOTHING to make it better; all it does is let the other side know that SOME of us feel like we're on the ropes, and that the Leftards have done their psyops job well.

So, again, if that's where you stand on it - you're not helping. You're being part of the disease.

If you have solutions, then that would be part of the cure. Let's commiserate and figure out how.

AND - if your cure is what we ALL already know it will probably be, then once again, complaining about how "it's OVER! We're FINISHED!!!" ad infinitum, ad nauseaum, does nothing to bolster your potential allies' faith in you.

I'm not sure how to be ANY clearer than that.

So it seems we are agreement.

But, you are making a mistake by "assuming" that I and others are doing nothing. Now having said this, let it be known that I will not submit an action plan and follow-up status for you or anyone else's approval on this board.

This whole process with the situation is still going to take some time to work itself through. There may be a flashpoint such as CT, or not. Only if the CT govt pushes it. Cali did not push their ban.

On a side note, I really enjoyed the movie Michael Collins with Liam Neeson.

You don’t “need” my approval - or anyone elses. Again, you seem to have missed my point. It’s not anything to do with approval; it’s about knocking off the defeatist BS on an open forum that gets trolled daily.

Since I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic, I’ll assume you’re not and say “Anytime”.

Any little part you do is better than complaining.

I became a firearms instructor JUST for that reason. To teach other people about their right to defend themselves, their heritage and history, and to show them how to do so with the most expedient device ever created.

You - we- have a part to play in the grand scheme of things, so you play it. However it turns out is up to God.

That's where you and I don't agree. I don't think we're at that point yet. There are a helluva lot of steps we need to take between waving the white lag and fixing bayonets. We can still fix things if we a) get busy, right freakin' now, and b) give the "surrender or fight" talk a rest. By all means, let's be ready to roll if all else fails, but let's pull out all the stops first. If we don't do everything we can before the shooting starts, people will die that don't have to. It will be our collective fault, too.

I'm not a Pollyanna, and I bristle at the suggestion that I am, whether intended or not. I am a realist, but I'm not a fatalist or a defeatist. There are things we can do, if we'd just do them, and do them right the frack now! The problem is that I believe too many of us either want a shooting war, or are so afraid of that happening that they're willing to throw up their hands in surrender. Compounding the problem is that Leftist cyber guerrillas, aka trolls, are busy disrupting on fora like FReep and TB2K. So no, I don't trust newbies, especially those who come right out of the newbie gates urging us to give up on our Republic.

Yes, we need everyone, but we need them to be strong and resolute. Defeatism hurts us. Everyone who spouts the "America is finished" line creates more doubt among our more sheepish and fearful, and makes them doubt our cause. We don't need more of that, as we have too much already. Alex is bad enough, but at least he's been around here long enough to have established himself (as a lying coward). Newbies who echo that whiny, wimpy, "America is not worth saving" line are highly suspicious.

Yeah, I was a newbie once myself, but back then, there was none of this defeatism we're seeing more and more of with each passing day. Despite Klinton being the Coward in Chief, things were not as dire as they are today. FReepers were staunch and resolute back then...too many are surrender monkeys today.

We're just a bunch of ordinary patriots who take exception to newbies talking down our country, our real leaders, and our mission to stand against the tyranny of the left.
