I am awaiting for the Russians to annex Little Odessa and Brighton Beach.

obozo would declare war for one reason only, just to cause Russia and or China and or Iran to nuke the US and it looks like that is exactly where he is headed.

Just look at the posts below. He’s too busy dismantling the military to thing about a war. All is hunky-dory as far as he is concerned, to heck with NASA.

In a way, it’s been done once before.

Polar Bear Division

The 31st Infantry Regiment was formed at Ft William McKinley, Philippine Islands on August 13, 1916. In the spring of 1918, the 31st moved from Manila’s tropics to the bitter cold of Siberia. Its mission, left vague by a deeply divided administration, was ostensibly to prevent Allied war material left sitting on Vladivostock’s docks from being looted. For the next 2 years, the 31st and its sister regiment, the 27th Infantry, fought off bands of Manchurian and Cossack bandits and Red revolutionaries plundering the Siberian countryside and trying to gain control of the Trans-Siberian Railroad. They also dissuaded their 40,000 Japanese “allies” from taking control of Russian territory. When the smoke cleared, 16 members of the 31st had earned the Distinguished Service Cross and 32 were killed in action in a two-year war few Americans even knew was being fought. For its Service in Siberia, the 31st Infantry became known as “the Polar Bear regiment”, adopting a silver polar bear as its insignia.

I got it, along with the “I deny women my essence” reference in a thread about the missing airplane.

One of my favorites, but my wife can’t stand it.

If Putin wants the end of NATO to be explicit, then he will invade Estonia

And why would he do that? Why not simply play the long game whereby Russia helps facilitate altering the internal political dynamic so that (a) Estonia leaves NATO; and (b) it formerly joins a Russian centric organization.

After all, that's exactly what the US/NATO did in Ukraine, except we were impatient and had to go the direct overthrow route.

And why would/should Russia limit itself to its direct sphere of influence in E Europe? Why not use its resource base to pursue change in the Americas as well?

The problem of going into a fight unprepared for how your opponent is going to react, is that you can get your butt kicked. Trying to pull a fast one first in Syria, and then Ukraine, with our current crop of losers was a mistake from the get go.

If Pooty-Poot makes a play for Alaska we may have no choice.

Having the two non-muslim giants at war with each other is something bin Laden could only dream about.

“....would we do nothing and effectively destroy the NATO alliance?..”

Actually, Europeans in the EU, would prefer that if blood is going to be spilled fighting Russia, that it be spilled on Ukrainian soil rather that Polish, German, Austrian,or Hungarian soil. That is why NATO will fight the Russians and they will drag the USA in, no matter what the Big Zero wants to do.

In fact of all the NATO members to fire a first shot, it is likely to be Turkey. They have already said that if there is violence in the Ukraine they will blockage the Bosporus straight so prevent Russia from using its only warm water port. Turkey has already shot down Syrian jets.

If Putin miscalculates, I suspect it will be Turkey that causes the blood to really flow and they will demand back up from the other NATO allies.

Figures when NATO goes to war it would be for the Turks.

I say we do to the Turks what they did to us during the Iraq War....Payback’s a bitch.

Plus, I really wouldn’t mind seeing Constantinople return.

Let some misinformation get out that the former Eastern Bloc is full of homos and Obama would begin fighting that very day.

The way things are now in this country, we would be
having Harry Reid, Nanzi Pelousy, and Barak H.Oaama
telling us that there was not any reason to go to
war with the BORG.

No, and HELL NO.

There are too many people that have become used to “easy” wars that they can enjoy from the comforts of their recliner. Things they can easily just ignore if they are bored with it.

War with Russia is going to stretch from Europe to the Alaska border...and that’s not counting the nukes.

Neither side is going to “lose”. They will take the other down mushroom clouds before that happens.

As I said, the question is if the Poles, Germans, Hungarians, Austrians, etc. want blood spilled on their soil or on Ukrainian soil. The have leaders that understand history and that you never want to have a war fought within the borders of your own country.

That is why they would likely join Turkey, which i think will start things if Russia invades the rest of the Ukraine.

Russia’s military is the largest in the region, but it isn’t the same force as in Soviet times
The military forces that Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened to use “as a last resort” in eastern Ukraine are in the early stages of a major, seven-year modernization program that is not expected to be completed before 2020.

Starved for funds in the 1990s and early 2000s, Moscow’s “troop readiness, training, morale, and discipline suffered, and most arms industries became antiquated,” according to a Congressional Research Service (CRS) report released Wednesday.

America will not clash with Russia to defend the Ukraine or any Nato country nor will the United States honor treaty obligations to defend any of our Pacific allies. We are broke and broken as a nation.

Would America Go to War with Russia?

It won't. It can wait.

Russia today is 150 million people, so let it reassemble the USSR, do some "re-education" in the new territories, and in another 15 years, US can deal with the new Russia, when it's 220 million.
