During oral arguments in the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday which focused on whether the contraceptive mandate in the Affordable Care Act violates the free exercise of religion, Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan suggested employers who have moral objections to birth control should not provide health care coverage for their employees
Chief Justice Roberts interjected that this was in opposition to what Hobby Lobby presented in its lawsuit. I thought I thought that part of the religious commitment of the owners was to provide health care for its employees, Roberts said and Clements agreed. Well, if they want to do that, they can just pay a greater salary and let the employees go in on the exchange, Sotomayor said. The court seemed divided along ideological lines

Now that Drudge had shown he has to pay the penalty tax for being forced to buy something,he should go to court now that he has standing,that’s what Roberts said when he ruled Obamacare constitutional,he could not rule on whether someone being forced to pay a penalty for not buying a commodity until someone has to pay it,was constitutional or not.Well someone has paid it
Anybody who doesn’t know the outcome is brain dead. Roberts is putting on a show, then he will “unexpectedly” find something that will put him in with liberals, 5-4.
Goodbye Constitution, Hello tyranny.
I was so angry when my kids were forced bussed that I used to threaten to take it to the Supreme Court. It wouldn’t have done any good.
Good point.
........................Well, if they want to do that, they can just pay a greater salary and let the employees go in on the exchange, Sotomayor said..........................
Yeah, that works.
Kill off the efficient group plan; Pay the higher salary; pay the corporate penalty; and force the employees to buy more expensive insurance, or pay a personal penalty; and then the employee can shop around for a policy that excludes birth control, or abortion drugs; which are not available because Zer0 has mandated that all insurance policies be the same.
Yeah that makes sense - for a Communist!
There are pictures/photos of Roberts going into a Bank of the Vatican on Malta with a full sized briefcase. This photo taken at the time Roberts was exposed as to the illegal adoption of two children from a European country and getting entry into the USA via a Latin American nation.
Whats in your closet, roberts?
Sotomeyer and Kegan agree with the first Marxist? No surprise...
HL should just shut its doors, fire everyone, and give them the finger.
What this is about is that the left wants to give out a BIG F U to everyone who is against abortion..they want to FORCE people who are against abortion to pay for their birth control pills..did you all see those abortion lovers in front of the Supreme Court today, just saw those idiots on Fox News..I don’t know about you all but I don’t want to see any of those vermin breed
JOHN ROBERTS - The very first PRISM kill.
FU Kagan. FU Sotomeyor. You tyrannical fascists. Maybe I should decide what you eat everyday or wear or when you take a dump.
I would challenge you to a race, but the last time I ram a 100m race, I missed Christmas...
Many states do not have exchanges that allow this, so Kagan is out to lunch, as per current law.
Libs making it up as they go......
But if Hobby Lobby drops insurance and forces its employees onto the exchange, they will be “taxed” into buying insurance or fined.
If you like your conscience, you can keep it. Period.
People should be careful about reading too much into the questions that the justices ask, or even the comments they make. There is often no correlation at all to how they will vote. Sometimes they just want to argue the other side for a bit to test their logic or lack of it.
Georgia could have gone either way.
Some fought for the British; some fought against them;
mostly they just fought amongst themselves.
The Scots didn’t like the Irish, the Irish didn’t like the Scots;
and neither group liked the British.
The Colony of Georgia was seen as an uncivilized boundary
by the rest of the colonies, providing a buffer zone
between their civilization and the lands of the barbarians.
