MH370: Satellite Images Show Up to 122 'Potential Objects'
NBC ^ | March 26, 2014 | Alastair Jamieson and Henry Austin

Satellite images taken on Sunday show 122 "potential objects" in the search for debris from missing flight MH370, Malaysian investigators said Wednesday.

Analysis of the images, which were supplied by France-based aeronautical firm Airbus Defence, revealed objects in the southern Indian Ocean around 1,588 miles from Perth, Australia – close to where other objects were previously seen.

I listened to the General. Over time, it seemed he shifted what he was saying, to an implication it was just his guess.

When was the last time he spoke? Do you have a link to the interview?

“He’s a kook.”

Rachel Maddow is a kook. Sheila Lee Jackson is a kook. Harry Reid is a kook. Don Lemon at CNN, entertaining the idea that the plane disappeared due to the possibility of the supernatural, is a kook.

I don’t have any idea what information the General used to make his comments, but I’m not ready to dismiss his long and distinguished military career and discredit him as a kook.

I haven’t agreed or disagreed with any theories…I would just like a plausible explanation from someone regarding the missing jet.

They aren’t “credible military personnel”. They are former or retired military that are paid color commentators on news shows.

My opinion is he is biased toward what he knows - issues involving war and armaments and the military etc. People find what they are looking for.

I don’t know. It was probably last week that I heard him. I can only take so much of Hannity.

Anytime I see somebody reference The General as part of this story I always think of the episode of The Prisoner.

Here’s a link (with a transcript). This may be it. I take this as him saying it is a theory:

http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/hannity/2014/03/21/does-gen-mcinerney-stand-controversial-pakistan-theory

“HANNITY: General, without exposing any of your sources, is there any way, for our audience’s sake, that you could shed light on what you believe to be the credibility of the sources that you obviously are talking to, because you’re not making this up out of whole cloth.

MCINERNEY: No, but it is not my sources. It’s the logic that goes into everything that has come up, explains and tracks with what I was talking about. How about the other day when we were on the radio and you talked to some of your very good friends in Boeing, and what did they say, Sean?”

There wouldn’t necessarily be thousand. Vast quantities of what’s in a plane don’t float. Seat cushions will IF they don’t have a person keeping them attached to the metal frame of the chair, and clothes IF they somehow got freed of the rest of the luggage, that’s most of the list, and of course that’s all dependent on the plane breaking up and not burning our floating object. Then of course you have 3 weeks worth of ocean drift. The ocean eats things, often leaving little if any trace.

Fine. I pictured (in my mind) things shredded.

Little shredded things will be hard to spot even with a satellite. And fish might mistake them for food, especially if anybody bled on them. And they still had 3 weeks of drift and separate and sink.

"Why don't we have more than one country producing these images with their satellites? Just sayin'"

You obviously have not been paying attention, or are being obtuse.

At the minimum, US, China, and France have released images.

I usually don’t watch Hannity. Thanks for the link. I did see this original interview, but he went further on March 22 with this:

“LIGNET put out a report, substantiated yesterday, that there sources got their information from Boeing sources, which is covert. Not that they got their information from the Boeing Company because they’re involved in the investigation, that the airplane was in Pakistan. That was confirmed by LIGNET on Monday and I got another source at LIGNET that confirmed it yesterday… I do believe that those people in Pakistan, in the ISI, those people who knew where Osama Bin Laden was and didn’t tell us. I believe those same elements could be involved with getting that airplane into a Pakistan air force base.”

I haven’t heard more since then, but as of the 22nd, he didn’t sound like he was backtracking. I’m still curious about Boeing and how much info they have and are sharing. This tragedy gets more bizarre each day.

There have been at least 4. And yes, I am obtuse.

Still, you’d think there would be a few more.

Pardon me for jumping in, but I thought it odd that I hadn’t seen US satellite info on this. I have seen US, China, France satellite imagery, but not US. Do you have more info on this?

I thought maybe it had to do with our not wanting to give up what we knew, when and where….
