Calif. state Senator Yee's arrest adds to Democrats' scandals
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | March 26, 2014 | Carla Marinucci

The federal corruption and bribery charges leveled against state Sen. Leland Yee of San Francisco mark the third embarrassing scandal this year for Senate Democrats and their party, which control both houses of the state Legislature and every statewide office in California.

Coming on the heels of recent tangled legal troubles of two other high-profile Los Angeles County Democratic state senators - Ron Calderon of Montebello and Rod Wright of Baldwin Hills - Yee's arrest may now hand the beleaguered state Republican Party an opening in a midterm election year, political observers say.

California now has the demographics of a Third World country, and political corruption is SOP in the third world.

I saw his picture in the SF Chronicle. What surprises me about it, is that so far, I have not seen the race card played yet, but maybe we will later.

Holder and the One need to instill in the FBI the difference between D and R. D good, R bad.

"I have not seen the race card played yet, but maybe we will later."

You can expect it soon. This is the guy who demanded Rush Limbaugh be censored or taken off the air because he had made remarks as a parody of the Chinese ambassador speaking in Chinese with no interpreter when he came here in 2011. Rush said it was stupid for the media to play his comments when it all sounded like jibberish with no one to explain what he was talking about. Then he (Rush) did about 20 seconds of mimicking Chinese the way anyone who can't speak it might do.

Yee tried to make a big deal by playing the race card to demand Rush be removed from the air. When his ploy backfired on him he held a press conference and said he was getting right wing death threats.

Like most liberals what he was doing was telling his media to "Look over there" while he had his hand elbow deep in the cookie jar and was stuffing his own pockets illegally. A side not is that after scalping the taxpayers as a State Senator he is was now running for Attorney General.

I went looking to see what he did. Corriuption goes without saying but you would think they would give a general outline of the charges. Here is what I found.

“A longtime California politician who was praised for his efforts to make government more transparent and authored gun control legislation was arrested Wednesday, accused of conspiracy to deal firearms and wire fraud.

The allegations against State Sen. Leland Yee were outlined in an FBI affidavit in support of a criminal complaint against him and 25 other people. The affidavit was unsealed on Wednesday, as Yee was scheduled to appear in court.”

ABC news radio did not report party affiliation so I knew it was a democrat.

RNC should highlight these democrat corruption scandals since the DNC would.

I think this was the guy who, shortly after he was elected, suggested that the vehicle registration fees be tripled. That suggestion went no where. Someone must have told him that it contributed to the recall of Davis. But maybe some good can come from this. Maybe Yee can learn how to make license plates.

Well knock me over with a feather. A Democrat who says one thing and does the opposite. Will wonders never cease?

More hypocrisy and corruption in California. This guy was #2 in the senate and running for secretary of state.

I would LOL but it’s just not funny.
