Nearly 100,000 Russian forces have massed on Ukraine's border, a top Ukrainian defense official told an American audience Thursday, giving a number far higher than US military estimates.

"Almost 100,000 soldiers are stationed on the borders of Ukraine and in the direction ... of Kharkiv, Donetsk," Andriy Parubiy, chairman of Ukraine's national security council, said via a webcast from Kiev.

"Russian troops are not in Crimea only, they are along all Ukrainian borders. They're in the south, they're in the east and in the north," Parubiy said.

The truth we might be running from is so small ... but it is as big as the coming truth of the coming day. Music.

That’s a lot of weakness on the Ukrainian border.

Rather humorous that you think Putin is permitted an “area of influence,” but no one else.

Ukraine and Russia didn’t have beefs between them....they’ve been interconnected for years, doing business etc. There was no Russian boot on their necks that they didn’t willingly put there when they voted. They should have waited til the next election and booted his butt out rather than the violent coup they orchestrated.

The beef is when Eu/Nato/US went after Ukraine to merge with the EU and Nato on Putins’ border and involving themselves in his area of influence and the politics of Ukraine. They knew this would create issues with Russia as did the nations and oligarks who funded it all.

And guess what....Ukraine still will not be admitted to the EU as has been already determined...and here they are left basically on their own to fight against Russia.

The EU and US will not fight this....so someones going to have to yield...again!

Seeing how the Ukrainians have reported that they only have around 6,000 troops available to be deployed for combat, whether the Russians have 20,000 or 100,000 isn't going to matter much. They'll be able to achieve high odds pretty much at the breakthrough points of their choosing. Ukraine may be able to get up to around 40,000 after a few weeks, but a lot would have to go right for them in terms of mobilization, getting them equipped, transported, etc. My guess is that many won't show up for the mobilization effort or fade away once it looks like the Russians are going to win.

I won’t argue with you rudeboy....I have no side in this affair. I simply see it as I do as others see it their way.

What I have an issue with is all those who somehow think the EU and US are innocent bystanders....when in fact they were much to do with these happenings knowing full well it would more than rile Putin.......Ukraine has been his area of influence that’s just the fact....the Eu and US wanted it otherwise....and those facts are coming out more and more as this moves along.

In principle, faith in God can bridge the gap. Russia is at least nominally Orthodox, and that’s a challenge since they are aloof from Catholics and Protestants who in comparison are bosom buddies.

(Reuters) - U.S. and European security agencies estimate Russia has deployed military and militia units totaling more than 30,000 people along its border with eastern Ukraine, according to U.S. and European sources familiar with official reporting.

The current estimates represent what officials on both sides of the Atlantic describe as a continuing influx of Russian forces along the Ukraine frontier, the sources said.

The 30,000 figure represents a significant increase from a figure of 20,000 Russian troops along the border that was widely reported in U.S. and European media last week.

But U.S. and European security sources noted that these estimates are imprecise. Some estimates put current troop levels as high as 35,000 while others still suggest a level of 25,000, the sources said.

It’s as always been....two opposing forces seeking dominion. Neither of which have the good of the world nor it’s people in mind.
