Yeh I heard that remark and didn't like the timing of it...especially since we had just intercepted an Iranian ship with weapons.

I have to go back and find something else I read to connect a dot. I'll be back.

The classified info will be evidence or downright proof of suicide by airplane crash.

Lithium Ion batteries are very energy dense long lasting batteries. They’re used in tons of things, most notably laptop computers. The problem isn’t so much that they combust, but if they are incorrectly made they can short out internally and become hot enough to start fires.

That whole nuke in Manhattan thing was because the heads of state were playing a video simulation of a nuclear terrorism attack. I don’t have a link but it was all over FR a few days ago. I think he was impressed by his own performance such that he actually thought he should be worried. Otherwise he might have just pulled it out of the air because it was so fresh in his mind. Nothing sinister there I’m afraid.

yes....ok, well there is no indication, that the aircraft headed back to KL....the proper procedure for an aircraft in trouble is to fly out of the air corridor,as other aircraft could be flying on the same track and then by turning 90 degrees to the track, and leave the air route....this what appears to have happened...the aircraft did turn 90 degrees and headed west...

That’s interesting, eh?

Thanks Responsibility2nd.

The big question is, WHY would they bring it up? If there’s info that can’t be released, OBVIOUSLY you don’t mention its existence.

What maroons.

OK, nothing sinister except that they were ‘playing’ a game involving nuclear disaster. What kind of a serious head of state plays such a game? OK OK. Maybe serious was too serious a word for BHO.

I want to hear what the FBI finds in their analysis

You think they'll cover for their CIA friends?

The Malaysians might have shot it down as it doubled back over Malaysia in the middle of the first night. Could be in some deep jungle on the peninsula now being guarded by Malay troops.
That was my first thought and it still seems as good a possibility as any advanced by any agency, government, journalist or FReeper.

That’s true too, but way too many people DON’T reflect back. ;-)

Lithium metal batteries deliver extremely high densities of energy, and if they are mishandled they can catch fire, a fire that can’t be extinguished with halon, the most common kind of fire-suppression systems in passenger aircraft. That’s one reason the FAA banned shipments of nonrechargeable lithium metal batteries on passenger planes in 2004. But that ban only applies in the United States; international authorities are still considering whether to enact such a rule. Cargo and passenger aircraft are free to carry lithium ion batteries, although they are subject to labeling and packing regulations.

It was mention earlier that a 777 had set a world record from Seattle to airport they took off from back a few years. The question was raise if the pilot was part of he crew. His “democracy is dead” t shirt may have been an indication of wanting democracy in his homeland. Could he have been used as an agent?
Cue the Missiin Impossible music!

mama, I suppose anything is possible but if I were thinking along the lines of a Bourne type actionj, I’d think it was the co-pilot who only recently was checked-out on the 777.
