More than 6 million people have now signed up for private insurance plans under President Barack Obama's signature healthcare law known as Obamacare, reflecting a surge in enrollments days before the March 31 deadline, the White House said on Thursday. The milestone gives the White House some ammunition to use against Republican critics, who have described the program as a flop in the build-up to midterm congressional campaigns in November, when Democratic control of the U.S. Senate is at stake. Only 10 days ago, the administration had pegged enrollment at more than 5 million people, and enlisted celebrities and top government officials to try to persuade more uninsured people - particularly the young and healthy - to sign up. The last-minute boost has exceeded the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office's estimate that 6 million people would sign up in the program's first year, down from earlier expectations of 7 million enrollees because of problems with websites used for shopping for insurance.

2.23 %. Hey, that’s pretty good. (I found 313.9 million as the total population. I was a bit surprised because I thought it was more. But that probably does not count the 12-20 million illegals.)
But how many paid for it? That’s what counts—and the traditional definition of enrollment.
If it is the law, and by law people are compelled under threat of fines or worse to sign up for it, why are they crowing so loudly that 2% of the population supposedly signed up? And what percentage of those that signed up for obamacare those that lost their insurance because of obamacare in th first place? And one other statistic would be interesting, what percentage of enrollees got a subsidy?
What do you want to bet that all the MSM stations lead with this headline tonight, and go on and on about how successful 0bamacare is, how it allows everyone to have affordable insurance, the whole deal, neatly wrapped up with a bow? Plus they’ll give extra credit for the way that the enrollment has had such an amazing recovery since the initial rollout problems.

Eventually, the reality on the ground (actual paying people/mix of young to sick, etc.) will catch up with all the fake numbers and a major adjustment will occur. It won’t be pretty.
