Poll: Sarah Palin tops list of women Americans want to run for president
The Washington Examiner ^ | March 27, 2014 | Paul Bedard

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the darling of the Tea Party movement, tops a new list of women other than Hillary Clinton who Americans want to run for president.

A series of Economist/YouGov polls, wrapped up in an article released this week, found overwhelming support for women candidates and a woman president, and has Palin on top of eight women most often mentioned by voters as their top choice to run.

Because Clinton is the runaway favorite potential woman candidate in a number of polls, the Economist/YouGov poll asked this question: “Other than Hillary Clinton, is their any other woman you would want to run for president either in 2016 or 2020?”(continued)

LOL, you only went after the conservatives who support the conservative leader, yeah, that is a totally different reason to jump on the thread to team up with the anti-Palin trolls.

The “cult” has reacted to all this before.

I love Palin’s conservatism and patriotism! She may very well support McCain out of loyalty and I have no problem with that. And I have no problem with whom she supports with her PAC. There is nothing written that says she has to do everything (or anything at all) according to JIM.

Sarah is unabashedly pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-family, pro-America, pro-constitution, pro-gun, pro-limited government and so am I. And she’s wildly popular among the God-loving, Liberty-loving folks with whom I choose to associate. In short, she’s a refreshing breath of clean fresh air in an otherwise putrid failure of a RINO infested party.

She represents my interests better than any other viable wannabe at this point and if she decides to run, she will have my undivided support!!

Romney, the draft-dodging, Big Government, lying statist political whore can KMA!!

And your picture does say a 1,000 words, but Bob, unfortunately they’re all about YOU and political whores like you and the results and likely outcome of your slavish, cultish RINOism!!

So you can shove your picture and your RINOs where the sun don’t shine.

Sarah has more guts, talent, ability, patriotism, and sheer determination and love for America and our God-given Liberty than you and Romney and a thousand other RINOS will ever have!

It’s been more than obvious for several years that our pro-Life & Liberty Free Republic has become an embarrassment for you, so why the hell don’t you just take a fricken hike already!!

Shove it, pal.

GET THE HELL OFF FR if you don’t like it, but whatever you do quit your damn whining and pestering good conservative FReepers about your hatred for Sarah Palin!! It’s beyond sickening.

I’d tell them “We tried it your way last time and we lost. This time, maybe we should try it our way.”

BobJ got what he asked for. He detested Sarah Palin in every way, and was obnoxious about it. That isn’t my view, I just have one small problem with her.

The only person I agree with 100% is me, and I’m not running.

*sigh* -- Think "Hero Worship". A Cult of Personality is created by mass media, propaganda, or other methods, to create an idealized, heroic, and at times, god-like public image, often through unquestioning flattery and praise. Sociologist Max Weber developed a tripartite classification of authority; the cult of personality holds parallels with what Weber defined as "charismatic authority". A cult of personality is similar to hero worship, except that it is established by mass media and propaganda.

These cult of personality types that advocate Palin cannot bear any sort of criticism [of her] and seem leery of anyone who does not likewise join in with worship of their object of affection — another thing that a cult of personality [in general] exhibit is unquestioning faith in their object of worship: this is why many Obama supporter [in `08] were labeled as zombies.

I do not wish any of that unthinking nature upon any of my fellow countrymen, whether their object of adoration is Palin, or Obama, or anyone else. (Save Jesus, but then He is worthy.)

Let me reiterate: I have no beef with mere support of Palin. That is all fine and good; I may disagree, or have reservations, and that is all well and good, too… or do you wish to assert that I have no right to hold my own belief and opinion?

Harping on McCain was obviously tiresome even years ago, much less as we conservatives are trying and hoping to maximize the Palin effect on the 2014 election cycle.

This thread is gone, try again sometime, the polling probably had some meaning but it won’t be discussed tonight.

I agree it’s tiresome. I wish she’d stop tooting his horn, because it’s ruining a pretty darned good politician. There was no excuse for what she did a couple months ago.

Trolling is forbidden here, and this is not a debate site, trolling isn't about debate anyway, it is trolling, an effort to derail threads and conservative political discussions and planning and activism, in this case 2014 and Palin's major role and how to enhance and reinforce her effectiveness.

Funny, I don't recall mentioning trolling here, just sometimes trolling.
As for trolling not being about debate, this I know well: you taught me quite a bit with your relentless and unwarranted attack on anyone who questions the War on Drugs, you personally attack anyone who supports Ron Paul or any of his ideas (in fact if something sounds like a Ron Paul idea, I've seen you go out of your way to insult people and then use that to insinuate that they support Ron Paul and are therefore loony, even if they do not).

If trolling is forbidden here, then I have to ask why you're still around.

As for debate/discussion; I love a good debate/discussion.
Your demeanor here shows that you regard everyone who does not wholly and totally agree with your opinion with disdain and hatred.

>>The most anti-Palin thing I've said is that I find her continual support of McCain as worthy of questioning her suitability for national governance
>
> I agree with that 100%. I live in AZ, and she's worn out her welcome with me. I'm sure the cult will be calling me another troll now, as they have before. This thing with McCain has me doubting her character because she owes a debt to him that she is not disclosing.

Ah, thank you.
Sometimes it gets hard when all your feedback is of the order of your opinion is worthless... which is the essence of that Cult of Personality's assertion that you're a troll or not a true conservative or whatnot,

Thank you.

You are certainly not alone. And I think, but for this one thing, she’d be perfect. But I’ve been attacked relentlessly for this one thing. It’s unreal.

Well, here’s a pro-Paul libertarian who is also pro-Palin. I’ve said before I would vote for her, but she needs to announce early and run a serious campaign. Otherwise I’ll vote for Rand because he seems to be doing exactly that, or someone else.

That said, Sarah did us a real disservice last time around. I take her at her word that she was seriously considering running but decided not to do so, but none the less it helped Romney. I hope she realizes it was a mistake. Now some folks around here are so sensitive about any criticism of Palin (far more than I expect she would be) that I’ve gotten nasty remarks just for that mild criticism.
