In 21st-century America, the most innocent of activities could have a SWAT team busting down your door. Reason profiles the Harte family, who were the victims of a SWAT home invasion after police raided their garbage cans (h/t Ben Domench). An unreliable field test falsely identified Addie Hartes trashed teabags as marijuana, and SWAT leapt into action. The Hartes didnt just suffer the trauma of the raidthey had to spend $25,000 just to find out why they were targeted.

No boot-licker, po-po can do no wrong fans on this thread...I had to slap one around few days ago.
Well we all know tea is a gateway drug...next thing you know, they’ll be hooked on coffee.
Since pretty much forever. The rationale seems to be that once you have put something in the trash, you have relinquished possession, and then anyone else is free to use it for any purpose.
Uncle Si Robertson would be tick off if somebody tell him that he can’t drink his iced tea LOL!
Although I should add that if the trash is still on your property (within your curtilage), most jurisdictions will still require a warrant. If you have put it out on the street, probably not.
I buy Yerba Mate by the kilo for $6.99 at a New London, CT store the leans heavily Latin American everything. (Great store!) If they ever looked at my trash they wouldn’t even bother going to the judge to get the warrant. Other loose teas also in use, approach with caution. Irish Breakfast is my favorite.

If You Don't Want a SWAT Team at Your Door, You Shouldn't Be Drinking Tea
AmeriKa is coming.
*************
It is here. Unremarked and in fact embraced by both wings of the uniparty. When the USSCT upheld ACA as constitutional, the United States of America overtly crossed the threshold to become a totalitarian state. Most people do not understand what totalitarian means. It does not mean as bad as possible, or as controlled as possible. It means that the State regards itself as the arbiter of ALL aspects of life. What the State does not regulate is permissive, but the State has plenary power. Its reach is unrestricted.
This article is worth a close and careful read. I submit that this is the world view and base of action of virtually every official in every branch of the federal government. Understand this, and one understands them.

AmeriKa is HERE.
My used tea gets put on plants, being a good fertilizer.
(too many of these jbt forays deserve to be one-way trips)
“Honey, where’s that pot you bought the other day? Shouldn’t we throw that away now? Oh and be sure to get it all wet before you put it in the garbage so it will look like used tea.”
any damn time they want to. DEA probably. Not cops.
Also trash is usually located on city property.
“Well we all know tea is a gateway drug...next thing you know, theyll be hooked on coffee.”
Then comes the dreaded cigarettes.
It's here.
I don't know, but I suspect when they do a gun grab, we will find out.
They were cops. From an earlier story =>
“A Leawood couple filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday over a 2012 SWAT-style home raid by heavily armed sheriffs deputies who wrongly believed the couple were growing marijuana.”

Silly peasant! Where do you get such ideas?
